I had heard mixed reviews but since we always have a great meal there we went on Sunday March 8. Our waiter was Bryce and he was great. We shared the escargot - great as usual. The filet was incredible. And the wine that Bryce suggested was really good too. It was our most expensive meal but one of the best.

Glad to hear it! We just made a reservation for our May trip and I'm really looking forward to it.:goodvibes

I must tell you that, over the years, we have eaten at Chef de France at least a dozen times. We have also eaten at the more expensive (and not on the DDP) "Bistro". I wouldn't even begin to compare them ! Yes... "Bistro" is much more romantic and quiet; but with that being said, we have never been disappointed or unhappy with "Chefs". And I do agree that there have been mixed reviews over the years; but other the "V & A", "Chefs" is the only restaurant that I can honestly say has always lived up to - or has been greater then - our expectations !

DH LOVES the escargot in France during the Food & Wine Fest. It stands to reason inside would be great too. :cutie:

I have read several reports of Remy taking Sunday off - did you get to see him at Chef de France?

I did not see him. I didnt know to look for him though so I guess I could have missed him?
