We are having dinner for the first time at Chefs de France later this month. Would love to hear opinions on appetizers, entrees, desserts. Any suggestions?

Just opinions, obviously ... but:

Escargot for an app. I know that freaks some people out, but those little garlicky critters are yummy. Their French onion soup is good, too.

I liked the beef short ribs. They smell wonderful.

And, creme brulee, just one of my favorite desserts, period.

their french onon soup is better than any ive tried in paris:thumbsup2

im afraid im not brave enough to try the snails but my dh did and loved them,
he gonna get them this year too

The escargot is better than the ones I had in Paris. The onion soup is good. Over the years, I have also loved every appetizer they have had with goat cheese.

I've never been wowed by the entrees, they are just okay (love the appetizers a lot more). My fave has probably been the roast chicken.

I always get the creme brulee for dessert. It is sometimes good and sometimes not as good.

French Onion Soup is amazing!!!

Then the Grilled Tenderloin of beef, with potatoes au gratin, and green beans is so good. I love the Mushroom filet at Le Cellier, I had this, and it was amazing!

Dessert- Best Creme Brulee in the world I think

The french onion soup is lick your lips amazing! I was personally very fond of the lemon tart...it was perfect in my opinion.

Their bread (rolls) and butter are to die for! I could go there and just eat those. My daughter ALWAYS gets the escargot. I like the grilled ham and cheese sandwich. Even the ham is different - so delicious. I have also had the mac and cheese....going there a week from this Saturday and cannot wait!

Love the French Onion Soup and I really enjoyed the Macaroni and Cheese the last time I went. It had a unique flavor and much better than our standard American mac n cheese.

We LOVED the cheese appetizer!! You sample different cheeses with crackers or bread---sooooo yummy!

We ate there last week 3 times!! My husband is from France and he can't get enough when we visit, that and the bakery. Everyday I had at least 4 croissant in my purse to bring back to the hotel for breakfast in the morning. He loves the escargot and the charcutterie plate. I love the French onion soup. They have great french fries which we always get as a side instead of the salad with the crouque monsieur. Short ribs are very good too and the profiteroles ( cream puffs with ice cream and choc. sauce) for dessert.

We've always enjoyed Le Chefs too! I usually get a salad for the appetizer, the Grilled Tenderloin for my entree (had it in December - it was SO good), and definitely Creme Brulee for dessert!

We'll definitely be back in June!

the escargot appetiver and the duck or ribs for an entre - france has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants.....

Thanks for the feedback, everybody! Another question...does "The French Menu" that has the soup, entree, and dessert at one price count as a TS meal on the dining plan or would I have to order the three items separately and pay for the soup. If the entree is something I would choose anyway, makes sense to do it that way. If the dessert is always creme brulee, I'm okay with that. I'm a big creme brulee fan!

From what I understand, the French menu is covered on the DDP. I would ask the waiter before ordering it. They are pretty good at telling you if it costs extra to get the soup.

this is exactly what I want to get when I go later this month! (except I will steal some of my friend's French Onion soup!!!)

I can't believe no one else posted about the flat bread - a la Flame Alsacienne. Wonderful flat bread with onion, creme fraiche, and bacon.

I also love the assortment of pates.

Yum!
