We're booked for 10 weeks time and looking at dining options. Many years ago we went to a restaurant called Chef Mickeys in Downtown Disney Village and my sons want to go back. Any idea if it is still open?

There is a Chef Mickeys @ The Contemporary Resort. It does character breakfasts and dinners. We went recently for dinner and thorougly enjoyed the food here. Its a buffet with very good selections and food was of a high standard.
Hope this helps

Did I read somewhere that Chef Mickey's was moved from Downtown Disney to CR some time ago??

Kaylee,

I just read about this a few days ago......in one of the many guidebooks I have...can't remember which one....it says that Chef Mickey has moved his pots and pans from the Village Marketplace to the Contemporary Resort.

We're booked for here too on our first day. Never done it before and really looking forward to it!

Cath:)

we have just returned from Florida and fitted in Chef Mickeys for breakfast, it is indeed in the contempory resort. What a novel experience especially waving the napkins in the air.....wish I was back there....:bounce:

Chef Mickeys has been at the CR for a few years now.

I can't vouch for dinner, but we've had breakfast twice. My kids were 3 and 7 first time and they adored it. The selection is great and the quality is high. The kids didn't eat much because they were awestruck.

Go ahead. Book it.

We had dinner at Chef Mickey's this April and the kids loved it. The characters come round so many times, the food is nice. Much better than Hollywood and Vine.

I would book PS as soon as possible, especially if you want to do breakfast and at a reasonable time. ;)

If you want to eat at CM for breakfast then I would book it right now. It is located in a resort hotel so you can book it 120 days out.

LOL this reminds me of how EVERYTIME we go to the Marketplace at DTD and walk past Rainforest Cafe, Paul (my DBF) always goes on and on about how he used to enjoy going to Chef Mickeys here and how it was a shame they moved it to the CR and it'll never be the same.......I took him to Chef Mickeys last year and we enjoyed it but sure enough when we came out he sighed and said it's so not the same. I wish I'd got to go to the original Chef Mickeys now but I like the new place very much. Great food for breakfast and dinner IMO as the others say BOOK NOW !!! :)

Thanks to everyone for replying. I didn't know it had moved to the Contemporary and will make a reservation asap.
