Chef Mickeys

We always seem to end up booking last minute trips to WDW and so can never get the dining reservations we'd like. I was just wondering if you can ever just turn up and wait for a table? My kids are desperate for Chef Mickeys but I'm guessing you won't get a table?

What about Sci Fi diner? Those are the restaurants they want to eat at

Honestly, probably not. Chef Mickey books wall-to-wall on ADR. Sci-Fi has very limited walk-up in off-hours.

Watch for ADRs at the following intervals:

• 180 days
• 60 days (on-site FastPass booking)
• 45 days (packages due? might have changed)
• 30 days (off-site FastPass booking)
• Day before (must cancel by night before)

I would keep checking. Just last week I scored a Chef Mickey's the day before. Granted it was an 8pm dinner, but people do dump reservations closer to the date. Also keep an eye on the reservation thread here. I have been able to use it to score BOG previously.

I walked up and got in at Sci Fi a couple of weeks ago so it is possible.
As for Chef Mickey's there always seems to be availability at least one day a week whenever I look at the app.
Though I do not suggest eating at Chef Mickeys. I have been there twice in 6 months and both times the food has been bad and the service was awful. If you have to go because of kids at least try and go for breakfast it is the least worst.

I would keep trying, honestly we love Chef Mickeys, the breakfast and brunch are good and fun, we've never done dinner though. I would keep trying.
