So, after going through the menu's on allears, there wasn't much at Garden Grill our family would eat...So I guess I'll cancel that one...Everything I'm reading is showing Chef Mickey's as THE most popular...Would it be a waste of my time to call them and try to get an ADR for Chef Mickey's (breakfast, lunch, or dinner) Nov 2-9?

It's hard to say if you would be able to get an ADR at CM's this close to your trip. You can always try and see. You just might be able to get one.

Definitely try for Chef Mickey's we (over 50 grandma, over 30 auntie and 6yo boy) loved that place!

Absolutely try!
On our last trip, we called when we arrived, and there were even spots available at Cinderella's Royal Table... people cancel all the time!
(Chef Mickey's is my kid's 2nd favorite - after the castle!)

It's unlikely you'll be successful but it's not necessarily a waste of time if you really want to go. If you're on the DDP and need to use TS credits I'd make an ADR elsewhere if Chef Mickey's isn't available the first time you call. Then try back occasionally, right up until you're on the trip. If they have an opening at any point that works with your schedule then, great! Cancel the other ADR and you're all set. But at least you'd have a backup.

It never hurts to try! Since you're flexible with your meal times, you should be fine. I changed a Kona reservation the day before we ate there with no problems. Again, give it a shot!

CM is the best!!!! We eat there once for dinner and once for breakfast every trip. Just keep calling, people cancel and change things around all the time. If not, we were pleasently surprised with GG. It ws a much quieter experience then CM, but still enjoyable, but IMO no, it doesn't compare with CM. We LOVE CM, so do try. You won't regret it. We enjoy the food, but even if you did't the experience is soooo wonderful! Good Luckl!

Note to OP:

I made ALLL my ADRs at the 180 mark..EXCLUDING CM.

When I discussed the plans with DD (4) she said that she spoke to kids in PreK and they all wanted to know why NO CM!! They all claimed the dinner with the napkins (:rotfl: ) So I tried to call a few weeks AFTER the 180 mark.

Well needless to say I called twice a day every day..and then three weeks ago, I FINALLY GOT DINNER FOR 6:00 for a PARTY of SIX.

So my advice, good luck and keep trying...YOU NEVER KNOW!!
