What time dose Chef Mickey's start serving Dinner? I Can't get a reservation for anytime for dinner. If I walk up to Chef Mickey's 10 min before they start serving will I be able to get a seat?

They start serving dinner at 5M. As for part two of your question, I'm afraid no one on these boards can answer it! You'll just have to try it and see if you get lucky.

You should also keep calling every day between now and your trip (and even after you arrive) to see if anyone has cancelled.

We are in the same boat!!!! I have been calling since about 90 days out and can not get into Chef Mickey's for our trip on Aug19-24. We are there the week BEFORE the free dining starts and can not get seated!!!! We are so disappointed. BUT I keep calling almost everyday to see if it has become avail.

I am more disappointed that they added a lunch service to Chef Mickey's during the following week because of the free dining but us people paying for the DDP can not get seated!

If you get there at around 4:30 (they open at 5:00), you *may* be able to get in, but it isn't guaranteed. I have noticed that they always try their best, but sometimes it is just not possible. They may also give you a beeper but you'll have an hour wait; I've seen that one as well for walk-ups.

this is back in sept 05, but i actually had a 5 pm for CM. i showed up about 4:30 and was seated at 4:45. while i was waiting for the table, i saw MULTIPLE families being turned away, being told to go downstairs to the concierge desk and obtain an ADR.

We booked chef Mickey's before we went. We were the 4th in the queue and one in front of me was cancelling a reservation for 20 and the one in front of her had had to cancel her reservation for the night before as she'd fainted so it was luck that they only had to wait a few minutes. We were 4th to check in and got to be family of the day. It was fab. The kids were announced and then they pulled the rope and mickey appeared to take us to the table and the character greeters took our photo's and our video's.

We booked in May 6:30 ADR party of 10, waited over 1 hour to get in, will be the last time there. Wasn't inpressed with the food either.

We have ADR's for CM's for 5:10 on the day we are going to MNSSHP. I was not happy about that but we will be able to scoot right over to MK right after dinner. The last time we went there we had ADR's and still had to wait (which happens I know and we were prepared) but we found the food was really so so, the wait staff very slow and the characters only came to our table as we were getting ready to leave and they happen to pass by. We had asked our wait staff if the characters were even going to come over just before that so I guess they thought they had better get us before we left. We really were not impressed. The character were in a hurry and it was like get a picture quick because we have real people to go and see. This was one place we didn't really care if we went to. It seems though there is not much else out there that we can go to before the party.

Chef Mickeys doesn't open until 5:00pm. They will not seat anyone until it is 5:00pm, I know because I had a 5:00pm reservation and got there early and they didn't seat anyone until it opend at 5:00pm. They do a special opening with all the characters when they open. It was nice to see when I was there.:




Can't wait until I meet Mickey and the gang for my upcoming Christmas trip.
