What do you think the chance is that we'd be able to get into Chef Mickey's on Monday 8/29? Either breakfast or dinner. We have a 7:20 am breakfast ressie but I don't think we'll be in Orlando by then. I've been checking everyday but no luck so far.

I think your chances are slim and none for either meal.
Keep checking online, as cancellations do occur.
If they have a table, it can be booked. They do not hold tables for walkups. So you would need to be lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time to snag that last minute cancellation. It does occur - just not very often. I wouldn't risk the disappointment of going all the way there to be turned away.

There's a possibility...but you can't count on it. (If you have little children who are not going to understand why they can't go in if you're denied - and the restaurant is entirely open, so it's possible they might be able to see the characters - maybe ask while they are not present. Or ask the concierge in the lobby to check for a reservation opening for you before you go up.)

Keep checking! And have faith that you will. This past Monday I managed to secure a ressie for Chef Mickey's 08/26 for 6 people at 8:20pm . Didn't think I would ever get anything ... but after what felt like a million times checking the online reservation pages, there it was, like it was just waiting for me.

I wouldn't suggest just showing up, never have had any luck with that but do keep checking. I also just got a 5:40 pm ADR yesterday for this Friday. Just keep checking at all times of the day. This ADR showed up about 7pm,you never know!

There is always a slim chance and if you don't ask you won't know what the answer would be. A couple of years ago my family and I went to Chef Mickey's for dinner without any ADR's and got a table 30 - 40 minutes later after giving our name. So the odd time walk-ups over there have been able to happen.
