We can't wait to introduce our children to Mickey! Does anyone have any thoughts about whether or not to take them to the breakfast or the dinner? Are the prices the same? Is the experience the same?

I was leaning toward breakfast, as my kids are early risers (and hence, early "to-bedders." But then I got to thinking - perhaps too much buffett breakfast might make their stomach upset on the rides? We're planning on being poolside in the afternoons, so perhaps Chef Mickey's for dinner would be a good transition to watch the parade in the MK?

Am I overanalyzing here? We're first timers, and I want to do it right! :-)

I got this tip off the boards- First time we went to WDW with my then 2 yr old son (and who was afraid of Santa) we saved Chef Mickeys for the last day. That way by the end of the trip he had been eased into meeting characters in the park so he was comfortable with them parading around him while he ate. Since then, we always do CM the last day, and always breakfast before hitting the road home. We are big breakfast eaters anyways and love the food they serve there. We can make it to well after lunch before needing to eat again! Plus it doesnt cut into any park time.

On our last trip we did Chef Mickey's on the first night that we arrived. It was sort of our "kick off to Disney" meal. It was great! My 2 year old really enjoyed it and was amazed by the characters. We did dinner and really liked it. The food was very good. I think that breakfast is a little cheaper though. But we really enjoyed the dinner.

If I recall, kids 3 and under eat free at buffets, so you shouldnt have to pay for them!
