My DBF wants to do only ONE character meal and ONLY for breakfast. Which one should we do Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace???? Please I need help picking only one!! :confused3

Another question to consider, do you want to be in the park that day? No point of CP if you're not doing a park that day. Personally I like CM better than CP, but my favorite is Cape May Cafe. No Mickey, but much more character interaction and not as rushed and crowded as the others.

Either Mickey or Pooh..doesn't matter. I will be at Epcot the day we would go to CM and oviously MK on the day we would do CP. I am staying offisite.

I personally preferred the character interaction at Chef Mickey's to Crystal Palace, but both had good food. The guy doing pancakes at CP made not only Mickey, but Tigger and Piglet pancakes, though. LOL. Both have fairly standard buffet meals with a few extras. Cape May might be my new favorite, though, as far as character interaction...... :mickeybar

we like chef mickeys much better than the crystal palace. We like the pictures they take when you enter and the characters are great!! We were disapointed in crystal palace, but the kids always want to go back to chef mickeys.

We've never done CMs breakfast..but we LOVE the dinner. DH and I did Crystal Palace breakfast on our honeymoon and LOVED it. The food was wonderful and the characters (even though we didn't have kids) were great. I would agree with the poster before that it depends on where you plan to be that day...but it looks like you have that covered. Either one you choose will be a great choice! Have a wonderful trip!

Our favorite buffet, for breakfast or dinner, is 1900 Park Fare.

Food is tops, and the characters are GREAT. Mary Poppins is there for breakfast (along with Alice, and sometimes the Pooh critters and Bert!) and a variety of Brit types at dinner time (Peter Pan, Mad Hatter, sometimes others).

The hotel is gorgeous and the interaction great, too!

We had a Chef Mickey breakfast about 4 weeks ago and it was great. Our PS was for about 10:30-11:00 and we must have been between rush hours as we didn't need to wait long, plus the lines seem short, even for the photos. We were seated in a booth in the outer area (we could see the monorail trains), which was a bit less claustrophobic than within their restaurant. At that hour the place was still full, but the food line was short and we stayed long enough to get two circuits of the characters, plus my DD2 was able to walk up to Goofy (who was manning the entrance) whenever she wanted to get a photo or just stand next to him.

Breakfast was typical buffet, but better than I expected for such a volume.

We have done CP twice and CM twice and both times I was disappointed in Chef Mickeys, but we love CP!! We like to get the first seating of the day, finish before 9:00 (assuming the park opens at 9:00am), and then get in line for Fantasyland. We have always been able to finish up Fantasyland in 1-1 1/2 hours this way, before it gets too crowded.

We always do CM for dinner, so I can't compare breakfasts, but we really liked the CP for breakfast. It is a really pretty place and the breakfast buffet items were varied and plentiful. Character interaction has been equal for us at these 2 places. The cool thing I like about doing breakfast at CP is that if you get an early PS you can get to the park before the crowds and walk down Main Street when it is empty. Then if you get done in time you could be first in line for your favorite rides.

I know that this wasn't one of your choices, but we loved Ohana's character breakfast! The food was great! We're doing it again next trip!
