Chef Mickey's- should I reschedule due to EMH's??

Right now we are booked at Chef Mickey's on a September Monday morning at 7:30- this is our first day at WDW so we definitely want to hit the MK first... I think Mondays are the day when the park has EMH's for resort guests and I've heard to avoid that particular park on those days.

My question is- how long does the character breakfast take and should I reschedule it for another day so we can take advantage of early park hours (we are resort guests) since we want to do MK that day regardless???

I've heard doing the breakfast there is a great way to kick off our trip. We have a 3 yr old and I think he might do better seeing the characters for the first time in a restaurant setting- just to get used to seeing them, though he won't be afraid or anything.

Normally at a character meal you should allow about an hour. The characters go around to the tables and for them do do the full circuit takes about that long. Also, if you are going in September probably all reservations for CM are taken now and it would be almost impossible to change.
