Chef Mickey's Reservations Hard to Get

I just called today for a mid-May ADR at Chef Mickey's and the earliest time they could give me any day of the week was 6:55pm. I took it but am somewhat unhappy as that is a late meal time for us, especially eating a buffet. Plus every time we've been to Chef Mickey's we've had to wait a while past our ADR time to be seated. I can't believe with it being 4 months away that they could be that booked, especially in this economy. Just a warning to anyone who is looking for Chef Mickey's in the late spring, make that ADR soon!

This is not unusual. Chef Mickeys is a very popular place.

I called at the 180 day mark, and still only got a 6:50pm reservation. I'm keeping it though because the kids LOVE it.

When are you going? I called about 2 hours ago and I'm about 100 days out and got 5:20 for early May on a Saturday :confused3

That's unbelievable! I know it's popular. We eat there every trip. But to call on the first day reservations can be made and not get any time prior to 6:50? Maybe it's just my suspicious mind but something doesn't seem right about that to me.

We're going the week of May 9-16. I tried for Monday the 11th and then any other day after that. 6:50 was the earliest time I could get.

Since Saturdays are a popular travel day, that might explain your luck in getting an earlier ADR. I remember on our last trip I was able to get breakfast at the castle on Saturday morning before we left because the person who was making my ADRs said Saturday is the easiest day to book there. That might hold true for other places as well. A lot of people may not arrive until later or might not want to eat a buffet the first night there.

That makes sense Tina. I hope an earlier time opens up...I would keep checking! :flower3:
