Chef Mickey's question

Hi all
I am wondering how much time I should plan for breakfast at Chef Mickey's. It is a morning EMH at Magic Kingdom the day we want to go, so we'd like to be done breakfast by 8am. It's just two adults, so we are not concerned with meeting all the characters...but definitely a few. However we are staying at POP, so any extra bit of time to sleep would be appreciated.

What time are your ADR? If they are at 7am I would say yes you could be at MK by 8 8:15 or so. Its a buffet so you go at your own pace once you are seated. Hope this helps.

I need to call and make an ADR...hopefully it won't be too busy that early in the morning. I was thinking of 7 or 7:15am.

You better call soon, your trip is soon. On our last trip we had a 7am ADR and we took the monorail over to MK afterwards. We had little kids with us so our breakfast was longer because of that. Good luck and enjoy.

Make the earliest ADR that you can...you can eat (my fiancee and I have done this) in about 45 min plus or minus. If you don't want to wait for the momorail you can always walk off your breakfast from he CR!

I would not go to CM's before the 8am EMH. I would go to the EMH then leave the park around 11 for a late AM ADR and use the meal like a brunch. You will get more out of the meal and have so much done at MK that you can take that break.

What if you went to EMH and made Breakfast ADRs at CP?
This would not take any extra time and you would already be in the park.

Thanks everyone, I decided to make the reservation for later in the morning and do the EMH first. After I thought about it, it seemed better to just hit up the parks first and take our break afterwards! Plus we are heading to another park after, so it makes it easier to catch the bus to MGM.

Good plan.....this is what we do....

Go to MK for EMH morning (8am) then go to ChefM's for the last available ADR (11am). We leave MK at about 10:30 and arrive in plenty of time for the ADR. At this time of the day we are ready for a break and are also ready to eat lunch (we have a light breakfast in our room). After, we either go back to MK for an hour or two or we go back to our resort to relax for a few hours before going back to a park for the evening. It always works really well.
