We're doing a family trip for Marathon weekend. After a race, I like to head to a buffet to fill up. We're staying at the Contemporary this time so I was thinking Chef Mickey's, but the price has me reconsidering. It's me, DH, and two college age girls that are both light eaters. Is there something special about Chef Mickey's that makes it worth the price, or are we better off heading over to Trail's End at Fort Wilderness?

Thanks,
Mary

is about the characters. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto and Goofy are the stars. The food is okay but since there is a demand for ADRs, there is no incentive for improving the food.

If you are not looking for the characters, don't pay the price.

Cape May and Boma are non park buffets that have better food. Neither are cheap and a little difficult to get to without a car. Ohana is a family style meal where they will bring you more of each item and is easier to get to.

Trails end was probably the worst food we have ever eaten at Disney. I would stay away.

That being said, to me Chef Mickey is only worth the characters.

Boma is a great choice for breakfast. Excellent food, lots to choose to from and the restaurant is nice.

If you are doing a park, then Crystal Palace in MK is great too!

I will be doing the Disney 1/2 Marathon!! so excited! Good luck!

I think The Wave has a breakfast buffet but I have no idea what the cost is. Another option is Fresh at the Dolphin. I have heard great things about it and I believe it's around $18.
