Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace?

We'll be a party of 6 adults and a 3 year old. We know she will want character dining for our first night, but which would you choose? Does either have better food (for adults!)?

hi. both are good, the food is about equal.. but CM has wonderful desserts with the huge ice cream topping area. the characters are great at both places, mickey vs. winnie the pooh as far as characters. CM is much harder to get a reservation for. CM offers a family picture, not with characters though.

I do like Chef Mickey's ut I think Crystal Palace is much better. However I hear most buffets have pretty much the same stuff lately! Have a great time!!)

I like CP better for dinner, I guess something to think about is are you going to be at MK that day (or will u be park hoping), if so it might be easier just to stay in the park and not leave for dinner plans

I'd choose Crystal Palace hands down. I enjoy the food a lot more. I've found the character interaction to be about the same at both places.

Chef Mickey vote here. That is the only place we went too last trip that everyone in my family wants to do again.
We just had ourselves a ball. Our server was excellent, we love Chip & Dale as well as Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy. Not that we don't love Pooh and the gang but if we had to choose, which we did, we choose CM.

The food is about the same but we found the atmostphere much happier at CM.

I vote Chef Mickey's. We did both CM and CP for dinner in April. The food is comparable, but the service we had at CM was MUCH better.

Here is the real decider for me though -- We had to wait over an hour past our 6:00 p.m. ADR at CP. At CM we were seated within 10 minutes. CP had a very hectic atmosphere. Of course, you never know if you may have to wait at any restaurant even with an ADR. At CP you have to wait outside and there is no good waiting area. At CM, if you do have to wait a little while, there is a nice lounge area where you can relax. The kids can run around a little, there is gift shop right there, or you could order a drink from the bar if you are so inclined. With a large group, (especially a hot/tired large group) the waiting area atmosphere can make all the difference.

I vote Chef Mickey's!!! Can't speak for Crystal Palace, as I've only just experienced Chef Mickey's in June and LOVED it!! Pictures on the following review!!
