So, we are going back to WDW in February. On our last day, I booked breakfast at CP, but now I can't decide if that is what would be best... :confused3 The lunch menu looks pretty tasty, and DH isn't a big breakfast person anyway. But I would also consider Chef Mickey's for breakfast. We've never been to either place. Which would you choose and why?

Both are equally great, just different characters.

The lunch vs breakfast would be a factor along with the characters.

Pooh and friends at CP , Mickey and Friends at CM

I have heard that since many on the dinning plan can't get ADR, CM will have lunch now.

You can't go wrong with either.

I like CM because of the characters! No one beats Mickey, but if you have already seen Micky and friends during your trip choose CP.

Well, that was a lot of rambling, I don't know if I helped or not. Good luck and have fun.

Breakfast at CP is a must do for us -- even when the kids aren't along. Considering that we are definitely NOT buffet people, big breafast eaters, or all that into character meals, this is really saying something! The food is excellent, the experience is relaxing, and the temperature cool during the hotest days of summer. We will be having our Christmas brunch at CP this year.

I do enjoy both of them, they are actually my top two favorites! But, if I had to choose, then I say CP Breakfast! I think the atomosphere is better and so is the quality of the food. I do love the Pooh charecters as well. Chef Mickey's is also great, but again CP is my fave! :thumbsup2

Definitely CP! We had breakfast there on our last trip, and now it's a must-do. The atmosphere and decor is MUCH nicer in CP than CM. The food at breakfast is the best I've had in quite a long time. There's such a variety, and some really intersesting dishes that you will love. We're trying dinner there this trip, so I can't wait to see what that is like. I've found CM to have substandard food, a tacky interior, and bad character interaction. That said, tons of people would disagree with me. Unless you have your heart set on a character meal with Mickey, CP is my recommendation.

I would choose CP and do lunch if your DH would prefer it. We've done dinner and breakfast and they are both nice. CM is a must-do for us, too - but we also do CP every trip and I think it is just a little better atmosphere.

Another great choice would be 1900 Park Fare. We did the b'fast for the first time during our May trip and it was fabulous. Really nice buffet and the characters/wait staff were great!

We think the Crystal Palace breakfast is one of the best meals we have at WDW, and we always make a point to do it. We make the 8:05 reservation so we're generally all done when the park opens. Usually, we get to hang around the castle or the entrance to one of the lands with an empty park...which is really cool!! It's almost as good as the meal itself.

I also love Chef Mickey's for dinner, but it's not a "must do" like CP is for me. I haven't had CP lunch, but may try it sometime.

We just got back and tried both (breakfast) for the first time. They are pretty much equal in our book. It seemed as though CM had a greater variety or selection, but CP had more unique offerings such as the breakfast lasagna. Character interaction was perfect at both places, though the overall decor/atmosphere was better at the light and airy CP. If you want a break from the parks, CM is a good bet; if it seems annoying to leave the park and take the monorail, then stay and do CP.

Obviously, I didn't vote in the poll - they really are so evenly matched that I can't pick one over the other! Good luck with your own decision!

While we will be doing both on our next trip, if I had to choose one it would be CP. I love the breakfast here & getting into the Parks before everyone else gives us great photo opportunities.

Crystal Palace is a very pretty restaurant and has, IMHO, the best breakfast buffet on property. And you don't have to leave the park to eat there. :) Lunch is pretty good, too. I just prefer breakfast.

Chef Mickey's is a "restaurant" they kind of crammed into the back of the Contemporary's lobby (with a wall and cute character pictures).

The buffet line seems to go more smoothly at CP, too.
