I have 1 ds 11 and 1 dd 9 when we go to WDW. Would like to know which breakfast is the best. We did Chef Mickeys last year, my ds wants to go back there but my dd wants to go to Cinderalls. Any advice would me most welcome, or if there is a better one to try. Many thanks in advance Wendy.

If you already went to Chef Mickey's, you should definitely try Cinderella's Royal Table this time (if you can get the reservations). Your daughter will love talking to all of the princesses. It might not be the best breakfasts for your son characterwise, but your daughter is at a perfect age for it.

Can you swing both character breakfasts? Afterall, it is vacation.

I don't know.....when my son was 11 he was just as entertained with Cinderella's breakfast as the rest of us.

I know I am in the minority here but we did not enjoy CRT at all. The food, service and character interaction was lousy. Of course the character interaction could be because it was just me and DH (no kids). We definitely would choose Chef Mickey's but we don't have a 9 yo DD. I am sure the atmosphere at Cindy's for your daughter will probably make up for its other shortcomings!! If you can get Cindy's, go for it!! Good luck!!

If your daughter wants to, definitely try for Cindy's. Then you could make a PS for the Ice Cream Social at the Garden Grill in Epcot for your son! It's only $7/person for a delicous huge ice cream sundae/cookie treat, and the character interaction is great! You will probably see Farmer Mickey, Chip and Dale, and Pluto! It's held every afternoon between 3 and 3:30, but you do need to have a priority seating! It's a lower cost way to see the main characters!

We ate at CRT in May with 10 DNi, almost 5 DD and 13 DS. Most of the adults (DH, myself, DSi and her DFi) sat at a separate table while granny sat with the kids. We, at the "adult" table had plenty of character interaction, of course the kids and granny got a little more. The food was very good and so was the service.

We ate at Cindy's in November, DH & I did not care to much for the food, but the character interaction with my 4 year old DD was great. She still talks about it and practically every day she says that she sure would like to go and eat with Cinderella again.

Do try CRT! We loved it! I know your DD would really be thrilled eating with the princesses and possibly a prince. Our DD is only 2, but it made such an impression on her that she talks about meeting the princesses and eating in the castle anytime she sees a picture of a princess or castle. And then she asks, "go again?"

Our 9 yo neice ate at the castle for the first time this past summer with her family and that was the first thing she told us about when she got back. She tought it was very special! :)

I think your DS may like it as well - there was about an 11ish boy at the table next to us and although shy around the princesses you could tell he LOVED having his picture taken with them!!

We had an excellent waiter who filled DH up with plenty of food! DD devoured the large fruit cup - our waiter brought her out another without us asking. He also kept all of our drinks filled and asking if we needed more.

We have done both. My 9 y/o dd says she much prefers Chef Mickey's. She says, "I did the whole princess breakfast already. Once was enough." We'll most likely be eating at Chef Mickey's 2 or 3 times during our next trip!

We have done CM in 98, 00, and 01. We tried Cindys for the first time last year.

We liked both. I like the variety at CM's especially the breakfast pizza, however the potatoes & cream cheese french toast at Cindys were both delicious! Service at both places was very good. For our next trip we plan to do CMs again only because we will only be with our sons, whereas we did Cindys for my nieces.
With your kids, and seeing you have done CM, I would give Cindys a try at least once if you can. I hope to "borrow" my nieces again so I will have a good excuse to go back and get that french toast sometime. ;)

Thank you for all of your help, I think we have decided to try and get a ps at CRT for breakfast, as my dd really wants to go there and as also suggested I have managed to persuade my DH to go to Chef Mickeys aswell. WOHOOOO

We went for our first time last year to Chef Mickey's. My girlfriend and I our both in our early twenties and loved it. I especially love the all you can eat prime rib.

I must admit, I was very unhappy with CRT. I had to beg and plead to get my hubby to eat there. And had been wanting too for many years. Well, he finally gave in and we got in during a parade (had no PS) The food was not good at all (Ryan's steakhouse has better food) and no character's stopped by at all. I was very dissapointed and will not eat there again. To make matters worse, we had to pay the dinner prices not the lunch prices. Our very fav restaurant is The Hollywood and Vine at MGM studios. We eat there every year for lunch. The food is always good, and the characters are awesome. They always ham it up, especially Chip and Dale. This year Chip tried to steal me from hubby. It's always a very magical experience.

I'm sorry you were disappointed with CRT. I've always thought breakfast was the best time to go and I believe breakfast is the only meal there are characters.

We prefer CM over CRT at least for breakfast. The food is better and the interaction is not anyway near as frantic.
