Chef Mickeys or 1900 Park Fare??

Hi I am trying to decide between these 2 places for dinner, both look like great buffets, we will have a 10 year boy and 2 teenage girls with us, so what did think would be better??

maybe 1900 park fare. Chef mickey looks too kiddish for teenagers.

We liked the food at park fare way better.

Chef Mickeys was good because the characters (the main ones) but the interaction was not so good (compared to CP, Garden Grill and PF) We just went to see the Contemp and because our little girl loves Minnie.

The interaction at PF was funny, we both enjoyed how 'in character' the step sisters were. We liked the grand hotel and really liked the food choices.

Chefs food was not as tasty and its the one we would skip next time.

We actually like the food at CM MUCH MUCH better! We only do 1900 PF once every few years. For teens both boy and girl I think CM would be better as 1900 PF is Cinderella. I do agree the character interaction is better at 1900 PF but the food and the fab 5 outweigh that for me!

We thought that the food was horrible when we ate dinner at Chef Mickey's last year. The characters at 1900 Park Fare were awesome but I don't remember a very big selection of food. 1900 Park Fare has Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Druzilla and Anastasia. Chef Mickey's has Mickey and the gang. Given the choice, I would eat at 1900 Park Fare again but I wouldn't do dinner at Chef Mickey's ever again (might try breakfast). Judging by the ages of your kids, I think they would enjoy 1900 Park Fare more. The stepmother and stepsisters are a riot!

Just got back from the world last week and went to both 1900PF and Chef Mickeys.Outside of taking pictures tableside with the characters at CM the food stinks.The food at 1900PF blows CM's food away.Go to 1900PF you won't regret it....

I'd go with 1900 PF. The food is far superior to that at CM's and the step family is hilarious. The sarcastic yet good-natured comments from the step family were totally lost on my kids but DH and I were rolling so I think teens would really like it.

1900 PF hands down! We have eaten at both a couple of times and Chef Mickeys this year was absolutely horrible when we went. I would NEVER ever go again. The only positive I can say is the Character Interaction is great but the food is a definate 2 thumbs down.
1900 has great food and a nice atmosphere.

We have always enjoyed our dining at Chef Mickey's for dinner. The food has always been good IMHO. Character interaction was also good. Fun atmosphere....fun swinging those napkins. I have not eaten at 1900 PF so I can't comment on it but I wouldn't hesitate to eat at Chef Mickey's again with people of any age.

Hands down 1900 Park Fare!

The food selection is decent and the characters make it a truly fun event. I think the girls will get a kick out the Grand Floridian Resort since it's sooo beautiful and very much in the period of Mary Poppins and just all around impressive pretty.
They just put in new carpet (which doesn't sound like such a big deal but even the carpet is beyond beautiful) and I mean literally just put in new carpet within the hour of when we got there for breakfast in May this year, the carpet layers were still taking out their tools and such when we were there.
It's such an impressive resort, if your at Magaic Kingdom MK that day be sure to take the boat to the GF resort as well as back to the park when your done if you get a chance, it's such a beautiful boat ride looking at this impressive resort as you get closer.

The character interaction is beyond hysterical! You don't want to miss this as one of your choices to eat!!!

By the way since you'll have your son there, the step sisters will have a blast with him!!!

Food opinion is different for each person. We LOVE CM and HATE 1900 PF food and have tried it twice in the last year. Is either place phenominal?? NO. But for a buffet and for Disney food.... we prefer CM.
BUT... do not let the negative or positive reviews of the food sway you because what you love may be what someone else hates. At this point decide what character interaction you need to go with. CM is the only place that offers all of the fab 5 and 1900 PF is the only place to offer the entire cast of Cinderella. I don't think a teenage boy would enjoy 1900 PF as much as CM but that is my opinion.
