Chef Mickey's on non-park day

This may seem like a strange question, but...

When we visit Disney World in May we will be staying off-site. We have reservations for breakfast at Chef Mickey's on a day that we are not planning to visit any parks. What are my options for getting to the restaurant without wasting a day on our Park-Hopper tickets.

I assume that I cannot ride the monorail.

Is my only option to drive to the Contemporary?

Thanks in advance, I want to be as prepared as possible.

When you get to the MK Toll Plaza just tell the attendant you have PS at Chef Mickey's. Then, stay to the right and drive to CR.
It would take longer to park at the TTC parking lot and take the Monorail, plus you would have to pay to park.
