We're doing Chef Mickey's the morning that we will be at MK. I'm not wanting to stay parked at the Contemporary all day - we're resort guests at CSR, so we can park for free at MK. But I'm wondering if it would be quicker to just drive ourself. We're hoping to do breakfast as early as possible and hopefully still make it to MK at opening. I'm concerned about how long it will take to wait for a bus to MK, then walk/monorail it over to Contemporary. I know it would just be easier to drive to the Contemporary, but would we be taking up a lot of time afterwards leaving and driving to TTC, then monorail to MK?

If we get the 7:00 slot for breakfast, are the buses running early enough to even get us to MK in time to walk over to CR?

If you get a 7:00 PS, the busses probably won't be running by 6:30. You'll most likely have to drive.

I think if you do get the 7:00 PS, you should be out of there by 8:00 or 8:15. That should still give you enough time to move your car to MK parking lot and get in at 9:00. Good luck!

We found that if you are up at 6:30, some of the bus drivers are really great and twice the bus driver took us to the Contemporary to get to Chef Mickey's by 7:00 and 7:30am. I am not sure if this is regualr or if it is just some of that Disney Magic that I love so much. I would get up a little early and ask a bus driver if he could take you there, then you will be safe if he can not take you and you end up having to drive to the Contemp.

Check with your resort- I remember them starting the buses early for situations just like this when we stayed at OKW.... I want to say the buses ran before 7am... :goodvibes

We stayed at CSR in May and did Chef Mickey's at 7AM. The buses started running at 6:30 and the driver took us straight to the Contemporary. We were actually early for our PS! :earsboy:

Thanks everyone - sounds encouraging. If we have to drive, not a big deal, but I much prefer to just park my car when I get to the World and not deal with it anymore after I'm there.

I was interested in your question as I had wondered about going to the Contemporary for breakfast and staying parked there all day (we will be staying at BC). Is it ok if you are staying at a WDW resort to leave your car at other hotels?
Thanks :)

Once you are done with breakfast, you can just walk over to the MK. It is quicker than the monorail.

That's not recommended. They will give you a 2-3 hr (can't remember which) pass to be there during your meal and time to walk around, but they don't want all the parking taken away from the guests who are actually staying there.
