Chef mickeys, no reservation

Has anyone ever had luck getting breakfast at chef mickeys without a reservation? I know it's bad planning on our part but we haven't been to disney world in forever and we just recently remembered how we ate there about 10 years ago and how delicious is was, but our trip is during the first week of January (I know, it's going to be busy!) and now there are no reservations available....

Didn't know if anyone had any suggestions on what time/what day of the week would be our best bet to attempt to get a table. We aren't set on being at the parks when they open

Oh and I forgot to mention, we want BREAKFAST!

It's doable, just make sure you get there as soon as possible in the morning, and have your entire party standing there because they will ask if everyone is there.

We usually stay a the Contemporary and have had luck getting seated for breakfast and dinner without reservations, some without much wait.

If you have a way to do so, keep checking daily for a spot, even during your trip. When we were there in June, I was considering adding another ADR to end our trip and when I logged in one night around 10pm, I saw several character meals available for the next morning including an 8:10am Chef Mickey’s reservation. With this being a meal that requires a credit card to guarantee the reservation, people will cancel if their plans change in time.

I too am - my son has special needs and I wanted to get him in to CM for Bfast... I hope I can get him in

I hope y'all get in as well! We might try to go to CM early Enough that if we don't get in we can head over to the park, watch the opening ceremony , then eat breakfast there. It's been many years since we had CM but I remember loving it!

Chef mickey is one of those buffet places where you want to go at opening or not at all. The food starts out nice, neat and fresh and steadily goes down after opening. Made the mistake of eating there near the end once.
