I am planning a grand gathering for some family and friends (paid the balance today YAY 45 days!!!) from August 20-26. I booked Chef Mickey's at 8:10 AM on the second day. We are staying at Pop. I was wondering how long it takes to get from Pop to Chef Mickey's and what is the best way to get there. Is it better to take WDW transportation (I know they have early breakfast transportation although I do not know what it consists of), or is it better to drive:drive: ? I know none of us are really going to want to get up very early, but we all agreed to do it since it's DISNEY and we want to make the most of every minute. However, I am looking for the quickest:teleport: way to get from Pop to Chef Mickey's so we can get the most sleep on the first night. Thanks in advance.

I found the route on laughing place and it says it takes 40 minutes the Disney way and 13 by car...so I'm thinking we will probably take the car, although I have to ask my group cause they may want to ride the monorail in.

But does anyone know what time the early breakfast transportation begins or where I can find that information out? Thanks.

If you have your own car(s), obviously, the quickest way is to drive to the Contemporary, where you can park, have your meal, and then move your car(s) afterwards to the TTC lot (if you are going to MK) or whatever park you are going to that day. If you do not have a car, the quickest way is a taxi (10 minutes or so). If you are using Disney transportation, you will need to take a bus to MK (15 minutes once you are on the bus, potential 10-15 minute wait for the bus to arrive) and then either walk to the Contemporary (10 minutes) or take the monorail.

If you have no car with you, then be at the POP bus stop by 7:00, a bit earlier perhaps. Take the bus to MK, then walk over to the CR for breakfast. The early ADR buses start running by 6:30 but they don't run as often, perhaps every half hour or so, so be early.
If you have cars available to you, then those would be the quickest way to get to the CR. Park at the CR, then, after you eat, move the cars to the lot at the TTC or head to whatever park you want to go to. Parking at the CR can be tough, so try not to take up the parking spaces for any longer than you need them.

We took Disney Transportation (bus) from Pop to MK and walked to the Contemporary. Make sure you get on a bus at least 45 minutes prior to your ADR. We weren't able to get on the first bus that pulled up to our line and had to wait for the next one. We were about 5 minutes late for our 10:00 breakfast. If your ADR is 8/21, that is and EMH morning at MK, so busses will be picking up early for 8am opening for resort guests.

Here is another option that would work if you have a car and would be planning to visit the Magic Kingdom when you're meal is done. Drive right to the TTC, park you're car there and get on the Resort Monorail to the Contemporary. This way there would be no need to park at the Contemporary and to move you're car later on to the TTC when you're meal is done. Finally since you're staying at Pop Century you don't need to pay the $10.00 parking fee at the TTC. All you do is show them you're KTTW card or you're Pop Century parking pass and that's it.
