search doesn't seem to be working. My question is, is chef mickey's really that bad for dinner? I seem to remember a thread that said breakfast was great, but dinner is not very good. unfortunately we can't fit it in for breakfast, but I'd like to get there so dinner it is.

any input?

We had dinner there in January and loved it! The food was good and plentiful (lots of things to choose from)AND the character interaction was wonderful, this time around we are doing a breakfast , hopefully it will be just as good! :sunny:

We enjoyed our dinner there a few years ago. The food was very good. It's not what you find in the upscale restaraunts but it was still delicious. We had 5 adults in our party and everyone found something they liked.

Chef Mickey's is GREAT for dinner ... we do it as our FIRST character meal of every trip!!! :thumbsup2

Dinner at Chef Mickey's is great. Food is good. Characters are fun. Chef Mickey's is a must for our family whenever we visit.

I agree-- it is great! We got an early seating on our last trip (5:20) and they sat us early-- around 5. It was great-- the buffet was delicious and the character interaction A+++

We will go back every trip till our kids are too old to want character meals!

thanks! that helps.

does anybody know if its overwhelming for little ones? we will have a 1 year old, 2 year old twins, and a 4 year old with us, and since I keep hearing how hectic/noisy it is, I'm wondering about the 3 youngest.

lastly, we have a 5:10 adr, what time should we get there?

When we went on our last trip the kids were 1, 3, 6, and 7. They all had a blast. The characters are so good about approaching the little ones slowly so as not to scare them. My 1 year old nephew climbed right into Chip's ( or Dale  ) arms and wanted to be carried around. I think your kids will have a great time.

Chef Mickey's for dinner is great!:thumbsup2 Ok, so the food isn't gourmet-it is the atmosphere that is fantastic! The classic characters can't be beat and the interaction with them is wonderful! Chef Mickey's most definitely puts you in the Disney mood! Go! You will love it!

We went there last Monday and had a good time. We saw Chip, Dale, Goofy, Minnie, Mickey and Donald. They did the napkin twirling and all the rest. My kids loved it.

We also visited there 3 years ago when my DD was only 15 months old, and she did great. She ran up to Donald and hugged him.

The place is crazy but in a totally kind friendly way, and I think even the little ones have a blast there. I'd say it's more fun than Crystal Palace although I found the food slightly better at CP this time. Chef Mickey's food is decent, just not superior.

I recommend it because it's totally Disney, it's fun, it's silly, the kids love it, and you can avoid waiting in long character greeting lines in the parks.

I'll be trying Chef Mickey's for the first time on Oct 28th. I'm taking my parents there because of the classic characters and this will be their first time at WDW (plus our first night at WDW). Thanks for the information.
