Chef Mickeys for breakfast or dinner?

We've done Chef Mickey's once for dinner and several times for breakfast. I barely remember the dinner though. Is the menu on allearsnet.com still current? The breakfast is great but I'd rather not have a big meal that early then go walking around the parks, plus I'd love to have the ice cream and dessert bar at dinner (that me and my son would love). I've heard mixed reviews. Is dinner really that mediocre?

Thanks for any help! :)

We have actually done both, and we seem to prefer the dinner service for some reason. Perhaps it was because we were not in a rush to hit the parks afterwards, and the characters seemed to have spent more time with us during dinner. Then again, the parmesan mashed potatoes must have played a part in that as well! :)

My DH and I had dinner at Chef Mickey's last October aand loved it, him epsecially! We are going back this October amd have an ADR for dinner. I am not sure why I have seen a few bad reviews on this place, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The character interaction was great and yes the dessert bar was wonderful!!! :cheer2: I am sorry we have not had breakfast there so I can't comment. We are having breakfast at Crystal Palace and 1900 Park Fare though.

Great! Now I just have to call and hope they have an opening for dinner the night we want it.

Good luck and pixie dust to you!!! :wizard:
I think dinner may be easier to get than breakfast. :confused3

Thanks for the pixie dust, it must have worked :)
They had an 8:30 available for Saturday, Sept. 24, (and it sounded like that was it) so I took it (yay!) That's kind of a late seating for my almost 4 year old, but hey, it's vacation and we'll be eating at Sci-Fi about 1:30 that day for lunch (at least that's the plan for now...I'm sure you know how that goes). So I'm sure that, plus maybe a snack later will hold us over.
Thanks again!

You won't be sorry! We have made it a tradition to have dinner at Chef Mickey's our first night in Disney. To me, its a great way to start our trip! :flower:

Congratulations!!! :cool1:
8:30 may end up being a great time because the majority of the dinner "rush" may be over with?! You will LOVE it, so will your 4-year-old!!!
