Chef Mickey's for Bbay's First Birthday?

I want to celebrate Chase's first birthday on our next trip to WDW. I'd love to have the celebration at Chef Mickey's, but I much prefer breakfast there over dinner. Will they celebrate with a cake/cupcake at breakfast?? Thanks!

Are there any other character meals that offer something special for children's birthdays? Can you order a cake special from the restaurant you choose in addition to the cost of the meal?? Any tips or advice? Thank you!

I was at 1900 Park Fare on Sunday, and there were several birthdays. They had cupcakes with a candle in each of them. The servers had everybody in the area of the birthday child's table sing to them. The characters there were Alice in Wonderland, Winnie the Pooh, and Tigger (though I think at times it's Eeyore...Alice explained to one child who asked that Eeyore wasn't feeling well that morning and Tigger offered to come instead), and Mary Poppins and Burt were out in the waiting area. In at least one case, Alice announced the birthday. And in another, Pooh stood at the table with the children. I would think that could be arranged if you spoke with the hostess and your server about it!
