Chef Mickeys Early morning ADR Question

I don't know if I read it here on the DIS or somewhere else, but I'm hoping someone can help calm my nerves.

We have a 7am ADR at Chef Mickeys (my kids are early risers anyway) for breakfast. Are all the characters there that early? I read somewhere that the characters start at a different (later) time, which concerns me because the characters are the only reason I booked CM's for breakfast.

Having a 7am ressie does nothing for me if Mickey and the gang shows up at 8am.

All the characters will be there! On our last trip we did a 7am ADR there (my son is also an early riser). We were the 1st family seated. We had a table right outside of the kitchen which was very nice because the characters came to us either 1st or 2nd. We were out of there in right under an hour. Have fun!

i heard [from the ADR operator i phoned] that if u have an early breakfast ADR that u can have a bus take u right 2 the resort. i just want 2 know if anyone has done this& hw well it works. [we r staying @ pop century & we r going 2 chef mickeys for 7:25 am]

This is incorrect information, again. There officially is no resort to resort transportion in all of WDW. You can not count on it. It has been reported to happen, but the CM shoud NOT have told you this was the case.
Sometimes, at the bus drivers whim, they will take your directly to the CR. But all they need to do is take you to the MK where you can walk to the CR or take the Monorail.

Actually, it is correct. There is a very early morning bus that leaves usually before 7 am. When I last checked there was one that was labelled Magic Kingdom (this stops at Grand, Contemp and Poly before MK) and one labelled Epoct (Beach Club, HS and Epcot). This has been around for a while, and the resort concierge can tell you what the exact pick-up time is for your specific resort. This bus is intended for folks with breakfast reservations. I have friends who just this past week took this bus from ASMovies to CM. This is not highly advertised, so not many guests know about it, but it absolutely does exist and it is NOT at the whim of the bus driver.

As previous posters stated, there is an early morning bus for character meals. I did want to put out one other option for you, if you don't want to rely on the bus. What we've done in the past for our early ADR character meals is just take a taxi. It's very quick & affordable.

This is what we do, and it's well worth the cab fare! It's nice not to worry about when the bus will arrive or whether we have enough time.
