We have eaten dinner at Chef Mickey's many times (and breakfast, too!). It is one of our favorite meals in WDW.
They may change the soup or add a special, but every time that we have been there they have had "staples": prime rib, a chicken, pasta and fish. There has always been the prime rib and another carving ( I have been there and seen steak and once, turkey). They have the usual sides and the mashed potatoes are the best. I have to be honest, I haven't had the soup. And I remember salad stuff also, along with breads.
The desserts have cakes and ice cream and the little ones can make a cupcake with Goofy. They pick the chocolate or vanilla cake/frosting and put sprinkles and stuff on it.
