Chef Mickey's--dinner buffet???

They sure do!! The desserts are great!! Mainly, there is a soft ice cream machine with lots and lots of toppings. There are also cakes, pies and pastries to choose from. I think they usually vary...but there is a fairly decent selection!

We love Chef Mickey's. The food IS NOT gourmet, but it is decent and enough selection to fill you up. If you go with "buffet" expectations, you'll be fine!

have fun!

I think the desserts at Chef Mickey's are some of the best anywhere. They have this 4 tier display that has about 10 various cakes, pies, pastries, etc. This is in addition to the ice cream sundae option too. I always make sure to leave room for the great desserts here - enjoy!

Are the desserts included in the buffet??

I was thinking of Chef Mickey's for our first night at WDW. Our plane lands about 4:30 pm and I figured after getting settled into the WL, we would take the boat to the CR and have dinner at Chef Mickey's. It sounds like the kids want to head out on the monorail afterward to explore and grab a pal mickey before we go back to WL and sleep.

Any ideas appreciated!

We are making PS's for dinner. We like to grab something quick in the morning and relax later on in the day at a nice sit down meal.

Although b-fast seems delicious, I would be a little stressed out checking my watch and eating in a hurry in order to make it in time for park opening.

Thanks for your replies-- We'll be heading over there on our first day so the kids can meet Mickey. Now I can't wait to see and try these desserts (only on vacation do I look at the dessert menu first and with the dining plan I can't wait--LOL)

We always do Chef Mickey’s on our first night. It is a great way to start your vacation as there is not mistaking you are at the mouse's house. It also helps the little ones get over the "I wanna see Mickey" so we can enjoy the trip!!! Works out great we love it!!!

The desserts on the buffet are included in the price of the buffet. Of course, they are also "all you can eat"...If we were sans children, I'd probably start the buffet at the dessert table! :rotfl:

We have never done breakfast at Chef Mickey's, but one of these days....

It has become a tradition in our family to start our trip with dinner at Chef Mickey's. We eat here on our first night. After dinner, we shop a bit at the Contemporary (kids always want to spend a Disney dollar or 10!) and then we hop the monorail and do the loop. Last trip, we had UPH, so we went into the MK to watch Wishes. It was a great first night!!! :Pinkbounc

Another one here who does Chef Mickey's on the first night. It is our new tradition. Going around the monorail, siking ourselves up for MK the next day, meeting the characters to say how much we've missed them, twirling our napkins in the air and gorging on food, LOL!!! Then we know we ARE at Disneyworld!!!

I too have never been to the breakfast but there are so many of them at almost every resort. I say do dinner. The roast beef was excellent, the peel your own shrimp, mickey macaroni and OH the topping selections for the ice cream - dd's eyes almost popped out of her head :earseek: great cookies too. Our server came by with a milk and a bag of cookies before we left since we raved about them. :teeth:

This is exactly what we wanna do! Marcy is my kinda people!

Just an FYI - if you do not want to go into MK or can not - to see Wishes, hop on the monorail and watch Wishes and the Electric Water Parade from the Poly beach at 9pm. Lots of fun!!
