As others have said, alcohol is not included... As for alcohol, I don't drink but if the OP does it may help to drink plenty of alcohol to help make the food at Chef Mickey a bit more palatable.

Is the food really that bad? Lol I have heard that so much but I feel like it's a place I need to check off the list still!

The alcohol isn't for the food. It's ok, not great, but ok. It's to help with the over excited children.

I'm fairly harsh because I am really not a big fan of lunch/dinner buffets. But with that said there are a few that I do enjoy, Chef Mickey though is not one of those. It was one of the worst dining experiences I ever had; poor service, noisy, unplenished food not to also mention the very institutional quality food that may perhaps be a notch below Golden Corral. Ouch, I guess I"m still being harsh. LOL... Seriously though, I have learned to make decisions based off of my own interests and give it a try. If your heart is intent on CM then by all means give it a try. You may actually like it.

That was unnecessary, alcohol is provided at some things like Mikey's backyard bbq for example. It was just a question, that's what this forum is for isn't it?

As you can see, no prices are listed for drinks.

When I get the urge for a buffet at WDW now we just go to Sweet Tomatoes. $10, really good and relatively healthy food, and a bit of a break from disneydisneydisney. We've realized we just don't need characters while dining.

no. alcohol and specialty drinks are not included.
i did have a blue alcoholic drink at CM once and it was delicious but it also cost me extra.

Hi fellow nurse! I went the other direction - when I became a nurse, I stopped caring about germs because they are EVERYWHERE lol.

Anyway, 1900 PF was a much better selection of food than Chef Mickey's in my opinion. Also, the restaurant was much calmer and cleaner, if that helps.

And it's one of the few that has better character interactions. Because the characters will play off each other quite a bit. So having them together to interact with you and each other makes for great fun.
At the meals with the fur characters I find they will rarely interact with each other, just with the guests. Which is fine but can be rather boring compared to some of the actions you can get when you meet them in the parks, which I find they will play more. Sure, there are always a few instances where you'll have one that plays a game at the meal or interacts with a fellow character but I find they are the exception rather than the norm. At 1900PF (dinner) we've had the characters always interact with us and each other.

Boma is our favorite buffet at WDW, 1900 PF is second
Crystal Palace would be next
Cape May dinner...I would rather go to Red Lobster
Chef Mickey...pretty much Golden Corral

We went to 1900 PF last year...it used to get bad marks for food and high for character interaction, but I thought both were good. Service was just adequate, not friendly, but the food was good.
