We have our first ever character meal planned for Chef Mickey's. I've had the ADR made since January. I've emailed to let them know about DS allergy. I thought I had everything in order and knew everything I needed to know about CM. But, after reading a post on another forum, I'm having doubts! The poster said something about another set of parents not paying attention to the characters, leaving to get food and then discovering they'd missed a character. Can someone please explain to me how it works at Chef Mickey's? When the characters are 3 tables over, is it obvious that they'll visit the table second closest, then the one right next to us, then us? Or am I missing something?

Thanks for your help!

The characters make their rounds in a planned route. It is obvious when you see the characters close by that your should stay seated. Also, aks your server they are usually awesome at making sure that you are aware of where the characters are and if they will be to your section shortly. My DH and I went to CM, Crystal Palace, and Ohana and every time our serves let us know where the character where if we looked like we were going to get food and they were close by. Don't worry.... we missed Eeyore while at the CP and our server saw that I was disappointed (he is my favorite Winnie character and the whole reason that I insisted on going there) she told me if he didn't make it back around before we left she would personally walk us up to see/meet him. They make pretty quick rounds and he did make it back to our table before we left, and I left CP a happy camper.

characters return to a specific table that missed them It's usually easy to see the characters at CM. There are some spots that are difficult to see the characters but you can look before heading to the buffet. If you miss one mention it to the CM serving you.

We went for almost the last seating once. All of the late eaters were in the same dining area. The first characters came back to the area before departing to ensure they saw everyone. That gave most of us a second chance with three of the five characters.
