Just curious? Could you park in Epcot, then take the Monorail to the Contemporary? Or do you have to drive (we will have a car) to the Contemporary, have breakfast, then drive over to Epcot?

Yes, you can park in the Epcot parking lot (assuming that your Chef Mickey Reservation is for after the Epcot parking lot opens) and then ride the monorail over to the TTC and then catch the resort Monorail all the way around to the Contemporary. The other option would be to park in the TTC and then take the monorail to the Contemporary, then take the Monorail to Epcot, then just take the Monorail back from Epcot to the TTC for your car (because who doesn't love lots of Monorail rides!)

how early will you be getting up? :thumbsup2 I'd park at the Contemperary, and the drive over to epcot later, doing the whole monorail thing will take close to an hour each way, b/c i think you;ll have to switch at TTC,then go around the whole loop to Mickeys, not to mention all the walking to and from various monorails...... drive the car-it's way easier.....

I agree 100% with that statement. It's best if you drive to the Contemporary then when yout breakfast is over at Chef Mickey's, drive on over to Epcot.

I had been told to book my Chef Mickey's breakfast on the day we were planning to visit the MK because it was just a short walk...was that good advice?

In Sept, we booked the 7:00am breakfast and then walked over to MK. It was a beautiful walk that early in the morning and we were able to go straight into the park. We are morning people so that worked perfect for us. :)
