Chef Mickeys Breakfast from SSR

We have a breakfast ressie for 8am at Chef Mickeys on 3rd August. We are staying at SSR.
Does anyone know what time the buses start running from SSR or should we walk to DTD and catch the Contemporary Resort bus?

Early buses to the MK for breakfasts start around 6:15am to 6:30am. They do not run as frequently as normal theme park buses so allow yourself time in case you just miss one. If you tell the driver you are going to Chef Mickey's they can sometimes drop you off right at the Contemporary. If you have to get off at the MK just talk the walkway to the CR. The walk is only around seven minutes or so from the MK bus station to the CR. When you exit your bus and get on the sidewalk turn right away from the MK entrance. You will be walking for a while underneath the monorail.

I'm guessing the monorail won't be running from 8-9am? My early ADR is at the GF, I've been wondering this myself.

If I remember correctly, monorail service (non EMH morning) begins daily at 7am. I remember being there just before 7am one time and they were opening things up.

Personally, that time in the AM, I'd get a cab. That's just me though . And if you want to be sure you get the cab, have them pick you up at the main house. We had a cab that couldnt find our room area, and it was a pain.

I agree that if you want to get to the Contemporary as fast as you can then take a taxi. However if you take the bus from SSR to the Magic Kingdom you can then use the walkway to the Contemporary, which is located right by the Magic Kingdom bus station.

For an 8am ADR, be out at the MK bus stop by 6:50. The buses come a bit less frequently that early, so be prepared to wait if you just miss one. When you board, ask the driver if it's faster to walk or take the monorail to CR...sometimes they will offer to drop you right there. I always prefer to put it that way, rather than ask if they can stop...makes them feel like they're handing out some pixiedust.
For the GF..bus to MK, then monorail to GF. The monorail starts running at 7am..at least the resort monorail does, can't say for sure about the express line.
