Chef Mickey's (Breakfast)- 2011

I have been to breakfast twice over the past 3 yrs. We enjoyed it both times. Last year I noticed they changed the hashbrown patties to potato jems. Not good. They were over cooked and cold. Now I like crunchy but there was very little potato left.

This year we are going for dinner. I know everyone says it's not very good, but I know we enjoyed it in 1999 and 2000.

I'm glad to hear that you had a great time! DBF and I are planning to eat here the day that we leave. We will also be staying at Pop and will have no car - which bus route did you take? Pop - MK - Contemporary? Pop - DD - Contemporary? etc?

We were there last May for breakfast and will never go back. The food was horrible - cold and not very tasty! The characters were so rushed that I complained to a CM. We waited a long time for Goofy to come to the table and when he finally did it was literally for 2 seconds!! He took a picture with our son and was off to the next table. He was so quick that the picture was blurry! Never again!!

We had a fantastic experience at Chef Mickeys on our trip last June. It was our first trip to Disney and we booked CM for breakfast on our first morning there, after a late night arrival. We had a 1030am ressie and arrived around 945am and we seated right away, no questions asked.

We had lots of character interaction and each character took their time to sign autograph books and take pictures and we didn't feel rushed at all. Not that we took a lot of time but when we asked for certain pictures of our children together or separate, they accomodated us.

We liked the food as well. I have two hungry stepsons and they ate and ate and ate and ate :lmao: There wasn't a thing that any of us put on our plate to try that we didn't like.

I'm glad you had a great time. That's what counts!

Many people on the board here seem to really like it there.

We're going to Tusker House this next trip. Going to try that out. We passed on Chef Mickey's after we went through Contemporary. I didn't like the atmosphere and it wasn't nearly festive or happy enough.

Really enjoyed breakfast at 1900 Park Faire. Great energy in there.
My favorite all time character breakfast though is Goofy's Kitchen in Disneyland.

Overall it seems like this place gets much better reviews for breakfast than dinner. I have read a lot of bad dinner reviews. I have never tried it.

I have to say that I am amazed at people voluntarily getting their entire family ready to leave the hotel by 6:30 a.m. to make it to a 7:00 a.m. breakfast. That's a painful way to start a vacation day! lol. My husband would kill me if we had to get up that early unless there was no choice (like a plane flight).
