OK.....I have been to Chef Mickey's a few times but was starting to get worried with all the bad reviews that I read on here......
The Cast.....Myself (DAD-44) & DD 8 & DS 7

We satyed at the POP Century & caught a bus at 6:35 to make our 7:05 am ADR...... It was quite a walk from the bus droppoff at Magic Kingdom.......waited in a brief line and were seated by 7:15.......

I think the food at Chef Mickey's is awesome!!!!

They have tons of fresh fruit , the best Mickey waffles (fresh & Hot).....a nice turkey hash....many types of meats & potatoes.....Pancakes omlettes .......biscuits & gravy... I thought it was all tasty!!!!!

We loved getting brownies & Rice Krispie treats for breakfast!
Hey- it's vacation!!!!
:)

Service was good... but there was a family next to us, that was not having a good morning and our server was trying to accomodate them...... lots of chararcters & they all visited!!!

Thanks for the review! :) I have an ADR for our first day on our July trip...but for dinner. I've been for breakfast before though and loved it! :thumbsup2

There is always such a waitlist for Chef Mickey's. I have never been able to get in during the past 10 years???

Maybe its the time of year/time of day you are trying to book it that's so busy?

I love chef mickeys could never understand all the bad reviews-love the food and atmosphere and characters!!

I agree. It's probably the time of the year. I haven't read any negative reviews. I will make more of an effort to go next time I'm in Disney

Glad you enjoyed it, we've never been and have a reservation on our last morning for a late breakfast for my 2yo's birthday :)

We are going in October and I hope that we can get in to Chef Mickey's. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for reviewing breakfast!!! I have only had dinner at Chef Mickeys but I would love to go for breakfast! it sounds delicious! We usually just go to Chef Mickey's for the characters bc I am not too crazy about the food but the breakfast menu sounds more to my liking! I will definitely have to give it a shot!:thumbsup2

We go every year when we go to Disney. I have been to both breakfast and dinner. In my opinion the only reason one goes is because of the characters. I think the food is bad :scared1:, SORRY....I definately think breakfast is better.

About the characters, in the past 7 years of us going and we have gone at off times and peak times. Yes of course it is a little better in off times, but they are just so rushed. They don't nearly give you the time they used to. Last year we were eating next to a couple and their daughter they were from overseas and it was their first visit. They were at their table before we sat down. Well their daughter was crying because she didn't get to see Mickey or Minnie. They thought that because they were done with their meal, they had to leave, NO WAY, we told them to tell their waitress because honestly maybe she was just swamped but she offered no help. They were gonna leave until we said something to them. That just breaks my heart, someone pays all that money and then their child almost didn't see all the characters. And lastly I am sorry to say this BUT come n parents when it is someone elses tables turn with the characters pull your children back. Everyone will get a turn but they shouldn't have to share at their own table. I mean we are all in the same boat, my child when he was small would've ran to see them but we explained to him he couldn't which at 3 and 4 really doesn't help,:rotfl2: but then we entertained him and kept him occupied.

Regardless food or not, I agree the characters there are the best, have fun to all...

Good to hear! We've been three times for dinner (and have always liked the food...), but never for breakfast. Can't wait!:woohoo::goodvibes

Hmmmmm, maybe I went on an "off" day?? :confused3 cause I didnt like CM at all. Food was 'blah' and lukewarm....not even warm for petesake! I wasnt impressed. :sad2: Ah well! We cant all agree on everything now can we?? How boring would that be!? :lmao:

My family Loves Chef Mickey's-- We went for dinner, everyone in the party loved the food (except me SRY)can not wait to try the breakfast buffet, cause it is a great place to go--- The characters are great, it is a good place to get down, even my 65 year young DM was dancing to the music:cool1: really brings the experience alive.

We Have Breakfast there this time I can't wait to try the food then.:thumbsup2

Thank you for a good review!!! We are going to Chef Mickey's in June for the 1st time and I was getting worried reading a lot of things that say "Food is not that good but the characters are great" ... Maybe it is just that breakfast is better than dinner, I don't know. Glad we are going for breakfast though!! :)

Thank you for the info. We have a 7:05 AM reservation in a couple of weeks which was all I could get when I booked. I've been considering cancelling, but it sounds worth the trouble of figuring out how to get there so early from POFQ. My DD (7) is really looking forward to Minnie--the princesses are just not her thing.

:confused3:confused3:

It really is a relief to read some good reviews (especially about breakfast - which we are doing in October).

I'm in the "in-between" phase, I have made our ADRs (all 16 of them) and am now beginning to rethink some. Chef Mickeys was one that I was rethinking, but I think I'll stick with it - until I change my mind again anyway!! ;)

I agree about the food. Dont get me wrong, im very happy to hear you enjoyed the food. But i personally think the food at CM is bad. First, the atmosphere is dreadful, for such a nice hotel they decided to decorate the place like a school cafeteria???? Second, the food quality was awful when i went. I didnt like the selection/variety....and the food (BREAKFAST) wasnt even warm. It was lukewarm. I was disapointed. Needless to say i wont be back. But for those that have a good experience, good for you. :thumbsup2

We make our ADR's about 6 months out sometimes and change them as the plans do...:rotfl2:

Call or hop online and make your ADR's well in advance and you should easily get into CM's.....good luck
