I realize it's a popular restaurant but seriously, my dates dec.1st just became available on the 1st and it's already booked, then dec 2 just opened so I tried on that date as well, there's nothing. Does that seem right? I mean Dec 2nd opned and like an hour later I logged on, seeing as it's the middle of the night I thought I had a chance. Help!

People staying on site get to book their ADRs at 90+10, so they have 10 days head start on everyone else. The popular restaurants are almost impossible to get unless you have the +10 advantage. Keep trying though as people cancel all the time, you might just get lucky.

I was able to get Chef Mickey's on 12/1 at 7:45 AM for breakfast yesterday with no problem and I am not staying on-site. What meal did you want to have there?

Are you waiting until 6 am EST for online and 7 am EST for the phones? the dates dont open up until these times not midnight :) Hope this helps some. Good Luck!!!

Or try calling....I did and it worked! Nothing available on line then I called and got through and got what I wanted!

I see that you are staying on site. Are you putting in your reservation number so that you get the 10-day advantage?

Since you are staying on site you shouldve booked starting the 1st for all your reservations. You can book 90 days plus 10 days out you know that right? So once your 90 days is up for your arrival you can book your entire stay up to 10 days. Keep trying. I just cancelled a dinner ressie for 8 people for the 4th.

Yesterday was when my window opened and I already saw that choice times for the popular restaurants, breakfast or dinner were getting skimpy...even at 6am. Luckily, I managed to get a Chef Mickey at 7:40am, an Ohanas at 6:55pm, and Crystal Palace @ 5:45pm (perfect for our night doing the MVMCP) as examples.

Just by going back on the online adr website now to see about doing any tweeking to other ressies and to see if any better times opened up for existing ones, I realize how the well quickly could run dry. Two things I learned from this though...a) be grateful for what ADRs you have and b) the 90 + 10 is a both boon and a curse wrapped in one.

It was the same thing for me with Crystal Palace on Monday, November 30th. I wasn't able to make my ressies until the afternoon, because I start work very early.

However, I was pleasantly surprised when the online reservations suggested the GF 1900 Park Fare; it hadn't even dawned on me to try there. I am over the moon to get to be eating at the GF.

My window opened this morning and most of my choices were gone by 6:45 when I started trying (stupid alarm clock didn't go off!!). I suspect they weren't there anyway, though (le cellier on a Saturday? ha). I got most of what I wanted by being flexible and switching days. For example, we wanted to do donald's safari breakfast on the 3rd. There were no times available, so I switched to the 8th and got 8:10, the time I'd orginially wanted on the 3rd. So, we are switching park days around and not worrying about it. :)

Oh, and when I called, she offered me a 7:10 am at Chef Mickey's for the 3rd. ;) I said no thanks. :goodvibes

What size party are you? A CM taught me on the phone our last trip that if you are an odd size like 3 or 5, growing an imaginary infant or 2 year old to give you a full table can sometimes open up exactly what you want. WDW doesn't like to have too many tables with an empty chair so they limit ADRs for that size group.
