Chef Mickey's better for breakfast or dinner?

For dinner I would probably use TS credits. For breakfast I might pay oop to save TS credits for someplace else.

What are your thoughts??

Our family booked a late breakfast, we took our time waking up and getting ready and then went to Chef Mickey's. It might have been the last time for breakfast. We had a choice of breakfast and lunch items. Waffles, breakfast meats, eggs/omlettes, etc. and then the fresh carved meats, potatoes, veggies were also on the buffet. So we my sister ate breakfast items, along with my husband and children-I think I was the only one who ate the lunch items. It was nice to not only have breakfast choices but the lunch ones as well. We've never had dinner there, but maybe this next trip. Chef Mickey's was fun and one of our favorite meals. My son still talks about this place.

Having done both (breakfast 1/05, dinner 1/06), I would recommend the breakfast buffet over the dinner buffet any day. The dinner buffet food was mediocre--I think you could do better! The breakfast buffet included fairly typical breakfast food (I like breakfast food, so take that for what it's worth) as well as some lunch selections and dessert.

For us, the character interaction was better at breakfast--less rushed and more time with characters than at dinner (even though the dinner we had was on my dd's birthday!).

We went for the dinner last Friday night and it was fantastic! The food was decent but the characters really made it special. Every so often there is a special song that everyone waves napkins around to - my 5 year-old tought that was the coolest. The characters (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Chip & Dale, probably more but I can't remember them) are constantly ciruculating. A good tip - have your children on the outside of the table and your camera and autograph item (we did baseball hats) ready. Great bang for your table service credits (it would have been $86 for us - 2 adults & 1 child). For breakfast we did the Crystal Palace and totally loved it! Enjoy whatever you decide - its all fun!

We like both breakfast and dinner.

We do a late Chef Mickey breakfast on an early entry MK day. Contemporary is the 1st monorail stop away from MK. :smickey:

We do our last dinner at Chef Mickey's and one last monorail ride to day good bye to WDW

Hey... great idea!! I am always looking for new ways of planning!

When we tried Chef Mickey's for the first time it was dinner. It was just awful and we swore we'd never go back. Guess we're just big liars because we plan to eat there for breakfast next trip. Hope it's better this time. Do they take the picture in front of the plate at breakfast, too or is that just dinner?
