Chef Mickey's ADR for 9:00

Okay, we have ADR for 9:00 pm our 1st night at WDW. According to the info I have found online and confirmed with the reservation CM, the place closes at 9:30.

My question is - will my kids still have time to enjoy the festivities and will there be food on the buffet? Will we be rushed out of there? I HATE going into a place right before it closes, but at the same time this is the only thing we could get. Please help assure me that it will be worth it!

We plan on getting there around 8:30 pm, just incase we can get seated earlier. Any thoughts?

We had 9pm and didn't feel rushed. Got there early and at our seats before 9p. Plenty of food on buffet. Only problem we had was ME, getting back to our resort, we waited over an hour.

We had a 9:00pm or so reservation last year during MNSSHP and it was fabulous! The place was nearly empty, the food was still coming out fresh, and the characters really took their time with my husband and I.
