What should I expect ? I'm a little worried that the characters will be tired by then. Will the restaurant be empty ?

I wanted to clear our last night so I had to switch some ADRs around. 9PM was the only time available for CM.

We did this and it was just fine. The place was a little less crowded, of course, but the wait staff was tired, by the time we finished our dinner the place was a ghost town. lol.

I have an 8:30pm because that was all I could get....needless to say I am less than exicited about dining that late.

I don't mind eating late, but I'm a little worried that Mickey & buddies will run out of stamina by the time we get there :)

:) A few years ago, we decided at the last minute to go to Chef Mickey's for a 2nd time on our trip. All we could get was around 8:45 pm. It wasn't crowded at all so we were lucky enough to get group pictures of the characters and lots of one on one time. The characters we roaming all together instead of one by one and we got great pics of all of us with all of them. They still had tons of energy and were lots of fun! HTH :wizard:

We did this once too because it all we could get. Our ds are teens so they really care about the food and not the characters, I did notice that our server was just about dead, never came back to the table to empty the plates, refill the drinks etc. but the characters were amazing. As the other poster said they tended to stay together and some of them didnt mind sitting down in your area if there were empty seats by you etc. and were taking all the time you wanted for photos and autographs, of course the food was not being replenished too much either. But it was still hot and good.

We did 9pm and the characters were fine, Goofy was doing back flips, We had a problem with food though, it wasn't fresh and they ran out of bowls at teh ice cream area.
