Chef Mickey's $35/adult???? when did that happen???

Wow! We just had breakfast there last week. My daughter is 3 and we paid for her. Wish I knew because she ate nothing! Too afraid of the characters! Our waitress was nice and gave her a 5x7 picture of the characters from Chef Mickey's.

Guess it all depends on the CM at the restaurant. My niece is four but very tiny (she's chinese) and they never charge her, don't even ask her age- and she eats like a storm trooper! It's my 11 yo that eats like a bird- a little yogurt, a few strawberries, maybe half a waffle- and pretty soon I'll have to pay adult prices for her!

I used to have a similar problem when using the dream maker gold. Some of them CM's assume the age of the children. That in turn can sometimes have you being charged for children that should be free. I relized that my meal credits were disappearing faster then they should've. So after that I always stated before we ordered that my son was 2. It actually took a few days to get a credit for 3 meals but they did it after I explained everything.

Three and under, from all of my experiences--when we use PS's we always tellteh children's ages and were never charged fro DD until she turned 4. When I amde PS's for Feb. my neice will have just turned 3 and I was told she would be free

My daughter is 23, so I don't have this problem BUT for me, if I knew that my 3 year old wasn't going to eat much of anything, it wouldn't bother my conscience at all to make my reservation for 2 adults (if I only had the 3 year old) or 2 adults one child (is the 3 year old had an older sibling. I confess that we flew on planes with our d on our lap until she was 3 without a ticket...but they didn't ask then. I know it is still a form of lying, this don't ask , don't tell philosopy....but since we are talking about FOOD here...if I took anyone to a restaurant and all they had was water, I surely wouldn't expect to pay. (THo I realize that if there is entertainment, that is part of the cost)

Well, patsal, you were just lucky I guess. As someone stated above the age guidelines are the same as with park tickets. Once they are three, they are supposed to pay.

I am not even going there on the airplane issue.

You were VERY lucky then. Disney's policy is definitely free for children UNDER 3. And every time I make a PS they remind me of this policy and that is why they ask the ages when you make a PS.

I paid for my very picky, light eater at all the buffets when she was 3 years and 2 weeks old so consider yourself lucky.
