I *thought* that I had all my (free) meal plans set! Lots of great places!

Arrival day - CRT for dinner
Day 2 - LTT for dinner
Day 3 - Le C for lunch and R&C for dinner
Day 4 - 50s PT for lunch
Day 5 - Shutters for dinner
Day 6 - PSB for breakfast, CP for dinner
Day 7 - Biergarten for dinner
Day 8 - CRT for lunch only for my 6yodd and me, as I couldn't get a res for more than 2 (boo-hoo)....the rest of the fam. will have a CS meal somewhere
Day 9 - CP for breakfast, WCC for lunch
Day 10 - Sci-Fi for dinner
Leaving day - nothing (so sad!)
We're planning to share at a few meals and pay for 1 or 2 oop.

Now, the little ones don't know we're going so they haven't had any input; my older ones have read Birnbaums and part of the UG and have told me where they would most like to eat.

THEN the older kids and I watched the planning DVD that we just received and they both asked me if we could eat dinner at Chef Mickeys too!! Well, I said, we'd have to cancel something as this is getting veeeery expensive for a *free* dining week!!!

So, I called to make a res. and this is all I could get:

a few early mornings which I didn't take because we aren't renting a car.

Day 2 @ 8:30 PM. I took it but 8:30 is so late and I am afraid that no one will even eat. A waste of a TS meal, in my opinion. Plus, I really wanted to eat at the LTT!

Day 8 @ 11:10 AM. I took it too, as this has more possibilities - I can send my husband and three of the kids over while I bring my 6yo to CRT. The times are close enough. But, they really wanted dinner. How is the breakfast?? And, what if my daughter would rather eat there - I don't want to have to pay a last minute cancellation fee!

Is CM really that great???

Curse that DVD!! :headache: :rotfl2:

Don't worry - I'll cancel one (or both!!) as soon as I decide what is best. I'm not a reservation hog!!

Honestly, I think that the breakfast at CM's is WAY better than the dinner. I did not enjoy the dinner at all. I certainly wouldn't give up LTT dinner for CM's. I think the breakfast is pretty good and would try to fit that in your schedule some how. Disney transportation starts running pretty early, so you should be able to get from your resort to the CR for whatever time you need. You didn't say where you were staying.

HTH

I'm having brain freeze...what's LTT?
We will probably try CM for breakfast next trip, I've only been there for dinner. It was a lot of fun. Food is about average, it's a theme park buffet after all. My kids absolutely loved it...photos of my normally solemn DS (6 at the time) with ear to ear grin are priceless.

I think that the breakfast is much better than the dinner. They'll really enjoy it.

LTT is the LIberty Tree Tavern in Liberty Square at the Magic Kingdom.

I would take Day 5 - Shutters out and change that to CM. Get the latest breakfast time and you wouldn't have to have lunch. Then for dinner, you can just eat something light or CS it.

Well, my big girls are happy to have breakfast chez Mickey- they just think it looks cool and they don't really care what they eat!

The Disney Dining CM told me that I would have to provide my own transportation to the early meals - I think that she had 7:05am and 7:20am available. We're not planning to rent a car, so I didn't even consider those.

Well, since the breakfast sounds good I will go ahead and cancel the 8:30pm dinner. My husband can take 3 of the kids to Chef Mickeys while my 6yo and I enjoy some *princess* time together at CRT. I doubt that she'll prefer Mickey to Cinderella, after all!

Thanks for the advice - I guess it wasn't such a big deal after all!

BTW - Oogieboogie, I tried to do exactly that, but there was almost nothing available at Chef Mickeys for my trip. She gave me the only 2 non-super-early res she had. I was amazed - it was almost as hard as getting CRT had been!!
