Chef Mickey under refurb now. Anyone been yet.

I read where Chef Mickey was getting a makeover. It also stated it would remain open. I was wondering if anyone has been and how it affected the meal. Has anyone heard how long it shoud take?

I've never been prior to rehab so I can't say what was different but I didn't notice anything awful. There was a curtain up by the waiting area but other than that it was fine. We were there last week.

I was at Chef Mickey's Monday night for dinner. There is a wooden construction wall with plastic above it along one side. If there is a rehab under way, it only appears to be one that one wall, all else is the same.

Last month when my family and I stayed at the Contemporary I thought the renovation around Chef Mickey's was the re-building of the Outer Rim Lounge which did just re-open so that was true. However someone then said they are adding more tables to Chef Mickey's so I guess that's what is happening there right now.

CR fan - in the photos I showed you, they did add tables to CM's already - I was told they are also building a wall so kids don't try to get to Mickey Mouse from outside the restaurant.

We went on the 24th and the food was great!! There was some notice of construction but nothing was affected by any means! We had a wonderful breakfast and we can not wait to go back in August!!

No, mention of food. I believe it said added seating and maybe a family restroom? I don't remember all the details was just hoping it would not ruin the meal.

ooo refurb should be good! This is completely OT but I was just looking through some old trip photos at Chef Mickeys, and both times we were there we were seated at the EXACT same table (and this was 2.5 years apart). What are the chances of that!? K i'm done hijacking

One of my friends who lives in Orlando texted me over the weekend and said it looks like that in the next few weeks Chef Mickey's is getting themselves a new sign built at their entrance.

I'd love to have a closer restroom! I've tried to take CM off of our list but my family insists we keep our tradition--and we do like to look at the different photos and see how we've "grown".
