Chef Mickey Refurbishment

Does anyone have Chef Mickey booked for the last week of November/first weeks of December? I just booked breakfast on Sunday 11/26 and my confirmation did not say anything about the temporary location. The website just says the relocation is late November. I called and the CM i got did not know. She tried to get another department to answer the question but the answer was to keep checking as the date approached.

I *thought* I had seen somewhere that people were getting emails with the location change to the convention. Did anyone get the email? If so, for what date is your ADR?

We have an ADR for 12/4 and received an email on 8/29 letting us know the restaurant was temporarily relocating to the Convention Center. I heard that the reno was originally scheduled for earlier in the season but postponed to Nov/Dec. I'm wondering if your email is forthcoming or if there is a delay again with the renovation.

Thank you! I don’t know that it’s delayed again but I wonder what the start date is. Someone on a FB told me it wasn’t in the temp location until 11/28. But when I called they didn’t know and told me to call again closer to my ADR.
 

We had an ADR for 12/9 and got the email. (I ended up changing to Ohana, so I don't know if there have been any more updates since).

We have brunch the 26th, haven't received anything. Before the 28th should be all good.
 
Bumping this up. I found someone who has a Chef Mickey on 11/27 that did get the location change email. How odd, I guess 11/28 isn't the start date. Has anyone else with an ADR before 11/28 gotten an email? I'm dining on 11/26 and curious as to the location of this meal, LOL!

I also have an ADR on the 26th, and have not received an email. My daughter has made it clear to me, if we are in the convention center, she doesn't want to go. This is her pick so it better not move. :rotfl2:
 
So, I just got off the phone with Disney Dining for the second time in two weeks and they still have no update. The CM initially told me it had already moved, which I don't think is true! I told him the dining page said late November so then he escalated the question to his supervisor. All she said was to tell me it will be in late November. They could not give a date. They keep stressing it will be the same magical experience, but I just don't buy it, lol!
 
Wow, moving the Monorail to run through the convention center too?

Haha. That’s exactly what I said to the CM in the phone. I said but we’ll miss seeing the monorail go through by the restaurant. He told me we’d see it outside when we walked to the convention center from the hotel.:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

In his defense, it was a hard argument to defend on his side! LOL
 
Another data point-- I posted my question on another site and someone with an ADR on 11/26 got the email from Disney saying their meal was relocated to the convention center. They said they received the email about two weeks ago. Not sure why @John Marecek and I have not received emails.
 
Emailed Disney, and they called me back. The information they've been given, the closure is scheduled to begin November 28th, but also may move back to November 30. This is why no exact dates have been given. He assured me I was good November 26.
