I'm trying to finalize my ADR and wonder what "park day" is best to follow the CM breakfast? Does it matter or is one park easier to get to from CM than others? Or is it better to do it the morning of departure?

TIA!

Chef Mickey's is within walking distance of the Magic Kingdom. We like to book an early breakfast, around 7:30, then get to the park for opening at 9. Or you could go to MK first, and have a late breakfast/brunch at Chef Mickey's around 11.

Going departure morning would depend on what resort you are staying at and what time you need to be back to get to the airport. You don't want to have to rush through breakfast in order to get home! HTH. :goodvibes

Thank you! I'm getting some much from the boards; I appreciate all of the information here!

I agree with the information the first poster provided. You most certainly want to go on a day you have planned to go to Magic Kingdom. It's an easy 10 minute walk to/from MK. It would be fun to eat there on departure day ONLY if that's all you had planned to do. Fun way to say goodbye to Mickey. You could also do it on departure day if you plan to go to a park and have at least a half a day (in addition to the breakfast) to still tour the park. Otherwise, if you only have a couple of hours left to tour a park after time was eaten up with breakfast, I think you'll feel too rushed. At least that's been our experience on our departure days before.

We are doing CM on a day that we are sleeping in and going to just chill at the pool (Bay Lake Tower) and then later that night go to Hoop Dee Doo Review. We have 10:15 a.m. reservations. It will be our first CM experience.

we always do chef mickeys on a day that we plan to go to a park with 'open late' EMHs...this year, its Hollywood studios....so we arent in a rush to get to the park and know we have all day and into the night to play!:thumbsup2
We dont do it on a day we go to MK due to I cant miss Crystal Palace for breakfast...as I LOVE pooh!!:lovestruc

We are doing Chef Mickey's for dinner before MNSSHP. I think it's a great place to go for an early dinner before a late night in Magic Kingdom, even if it's not for a party. For breakfast, I would definitely still do it on a Magic Kingdom day because it's RIGHT there. You can walk or you can take the monorail pretty quickly over, too.

We like to do breakfast at Chef Mickey's on the day we go to the World Showcase at EPCOT.

The World Showcase opens at 11:00 am, so we sleep in & have a late breakfast at Chef Mickey's & then ride the monorail to EPCOT.

As other posters have said, Chef Mickey's is also "next door" to the Magic Kingdom! :)
