I made a reservation for breakfast at Chef Mickey for our Easter Week trip, but now I'm wondering if I should make it for Crystal Palace instead? My DD is 3 and doesn't really know the Mickey characters as well as Pooh.

But I've heard Chef Mickey is a must do. What do you guys recommend?

Thanks.

Cheryl

If your dd likes Pooh characters, I'd switch. However, remember CP is in the park, so you need a ticket whereas CM's you don't. The breakfasts are about the same, I like CP a little better. I like both very much.

Can you do both? They are both great!!! I agree with the last post though - Crystal Palace has the best food. We actually skipped it this past trip because dd is starting to phase out of pooh.

I think you'd be very happy at the Crystal Palace. This is a must dine place for me on each trip.

My DD(2) really liked both. She's not that much into either. She likes the newer Disney characters. Buzz and Woody are her favorite!!! I think CM is more fun and I think she liked it better because it was more lively.

If you want the main Disney characters then you'd want to do CM and IMHO that's the only reason, the food is just fair and we've been there quite a few times for breakfast and dinner. I don't know why it is a "must do" really?

Now, CP has classic Pooh characters and if you're ok with them then I'd do this one instead because I think their food is one of the best character buffets on property. Actually I'd even go without the characters because the food has been so good. So, it's just the matter of the food or the characters. You can see most of EITHER character group at Toontown without doing the meal.

We were just at Crystal Palace two weeks ago, and both the food and the character interactions were magic!

We just did Crystal Palace on 12/6, 1900 Park Fair on 12/10 and Chef Mickey's on 12/12. Of those, DH and I enjoyed Crystal Palace and Park Fair better than Chef Mickey's. They just seemed to have more food choices. Loved all the fruit at Park Fair. It may have been at CP also, just didn't notice. Beautiful restaurant and I liked having 8:05am ADR when park didn't open until 9:00am. We also did CRT breakfast and definitely wouldn't again. Loved eating in the castle and all, but the food just wasn't nearly as great as the other places. We are very eclectic in our food choices, so it was great to have the buffets where one could have fruit and bagles, someone else pancakes, someone else eggs, etc.

You could do both - and do CP for lunch - the food at lunchtime is lovely - we go to CP everytime we go to Disney! :flower:
