I'm about ready to book a lunch at Chef Mickeys...it will be my first character meal....
Anything I should know about it?
It will be 2 seniors, 2 adults, 2 kids and 2 babies...

Last I knew they only serve breakfast and dinner, dinner is better in my opinion.
If you chose to do breakfast or dinner and you can't get a reservation for that many try and ask for two reservations of 4 to get in. It is harder at times to get larger group reservations, the booking system is touchy.

Normally Chef Mickey's only serve breakfast and dinner, but during peak and extreme situations(free dining period) CM has offered a lunch buffet for that limited time period. Last year, CM has lunch from 8/24 to 9/25/08.

Just have fun!!!

We have been to CM on every one of our trips, it's our favorite. We always go for breakfast and have started going twice, one dinner too. We love it. We prefer breakfast but enjoy dinner very much too. I have heard of sometimes them having lunch, but can't comment on the food as we have never been during those times. We go as a group of 7 and have not had trouble getting a table together, but we always call right at 7am on our day.

Yeah, I was mistaken, I thought they had lunch...now I see the breakfast/dinner times... We might can do a 11:30 breakfast, but of course, now I'm thinkin elsewhere....
I dont know what to do, but I know time is running out...lol

Have your autograph books open and ready! And your cameras, too. I do like the smile at the camera posed photos, but shoot a bunch of all the interaction that goes on with the characters and your loved ones, both young and old. I have some phenomenal photos, and if I wasn't clicking away, I would have missed them.

Ask for two tables especially if you want a specific dining time. When I called for a table for eight our choices were 10:45 or somtime "in the 7:00 hour" (CM's words). Since we wanted to eat late the 10:45 was perfect for us, but if I had wanted to eat earlier I would have split it into two tables.

Whatever you do, have fun

You will enjoy dinner at CM. We had DD birthday dinner there last month and had no problem making our ADR for 10 people at 8:20p.m. It was just a little later than we would have liked, but it turned out great because when everyone else was getting up to leave there were not alot of people left and we pretty much had the characters to ourselves. All the kids, and adults alike really enjoyed it there.
