I could only get a ADR @ 7:50 pm 4 chef Mickey :( I'm super happy we even got in but that is kinda late for us. The whole week we r there they only had 7:50 pm available. Do you think I should try to call back to get a earlier dinner or do I just have to seetle? What about calling the actual day we r there 2 see if any1 canceled?

Stick with your reservation. I cancelled our Chef Mickey's for dinner because we moved our vacation up 2 months and when I tried getting a Chef Mickey's reservation, I couldn't get any breakfasts or dinners, so..................be thankful for the time you have :) Even when I had reservations, the couple months the first time, the times were all late at 9pm and after. Keep them or you might end up not getting a reservation at all. I've tried booking Chef Mickey's for our new vacation dates and there was no availability at all for the date I wanted. I might try one more time for another date.

You can try and call for cancellations and earlier dates if you wish but I've done this for another ADR hoping it would open up and had no luck. Not to say that you won't though so keep trying. GOODLUCK:thumbsup2

I would definitely keep trying to call. I tried CRT about 3 weeks ago for any breakfast, lunch or dinner for a party of 10, they said they didn't have anything during our entire 9 day stay in September. I called just a couple days ago, and they had about 4 different times we could choose from. Good luck!

One nice thing about that ADR: you know in advance and can plan your day with that in mind. Maybe stay at the park a bit longer and watch the 3pm parade. Then take that afternoon break and nap at the hotel. After dinner, since you are already out and about and close to MK, go see Wishes. Plan to arrive by 7:30 you'll get checked in and have your photo taken and hopefully eating close to your ADR time.

Of course you can contiue to call, but since you have a sure thing, embrace it and let it grow on you. :thumbsup2

We had an 8:25 pm ADR our first night. I went nuts trying to get it earlier (kids will be exhaused, plane ride was really early blah blah blah).

Bottom line it was absolutely fine. Kids (ages 5 and 8) were up with excitement. But...we did opt to take a cab back to Music since we knew we were going to meet up with the Wishes and MK exit crowds big time.

Keep the ADR, think about a cab. And...ask to sit in the Main Dining Area-this is important-the side areas by the buffet are ok but the Main area is best for fun.

CRT is different, though because you have to give a credit card to reserve it. I think with other ADR's (such as Chef Mickey's) people keep the reservation and think, "If I can't show up - no big deal, there is no penalty". I always cancel my ADRs if I won't be able to make it. But I know people who don't. :confused3

I feel your pain we had to rearrange our schedule of what parks on what days just to get a 7:45 Chef Mickey reservation. I understand it is worth the experience though. It will be nice to end our vacation with Mickey Mouse.
