As some of yopu know, we are doing our first family trip to Disney in Oct. I haven't been since college (spring of 89). We are planning and great week and I now have schedule my first CB, Chef Mickeys. The CM was very helpful and told me she felt this was the best breakfast for 3 reasons, great food, lots of characters and with my dd 10 and ds6 they will both enjoy it( was afraid my son wouldn't like the princess stuff LOL.) Was she right? How great of a time will we have.... I know some people have different opinions.
Thanks for your time!!!!!
Eric

I have done Chef Mickeys, Crystal Palace, and the one at the beach Club. Chef Mickeys was the best by far for all of those reasons. If you want one more, how about being able to watch the Monorail go by while you are having breakfast. How about the fact that you don't have to use a park ticket to be able to get in. That can be your off day so you don't loose any time in the park. Plus, you have tons of time with the characters and it really seems like a party. It is lots of fun. All of you will enjoy it.

All those reasons make CM a wonderful choice. I like their dinners more than breakfast though. My favorite breakfast is probably 1900 Park Fair though. I like the food better. The service better. The wider range of characters (side and main). We've done all of the character meals over time but about 3. These are my two top picks.

You might want to post this on the restruant board, as you may get more info. and opinions.

Another vote for Chef Mickey's. We tried CP once and was disappointed. We always do CM and it has always been great. I hope your family will have a great trip. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo :earsboy:

Chef Mickey's is awesome for a character meal! We picked Chef Mickey's as a character breakfast for my dd for her Make-A- Wish trip last yr. She really wanted to meet Minnie Mouse. I had checked out another Disney message board( not the DIS) and found some rave reviews from other people about Chef Mickey's. My dd wasn't into the princess thing, my dd is more or less a tomboy,so Chef Mickey's worked out best for us as of a character meal.
It really is a lot of fun there. All the characters come out, one at a time, goes around to all the tables. Characters there: Chip,Dale, Goofy, Pluto, Minnie, and Mickey. There is also a song they keep singing, can't remember the name of it, but everyone twirls their napkins during the song. The song repeats all the time there, so as parents, you might get sick of hearing the song. ;)
Make sure you bring your camera, camcorder, and your autograph books to the character meal. The characters may stop at random tables to help cut up your food or feed the child for a minute. That's what Chip and Dale did with our kids, maybe b/c we were a MAW family, I don't know. We filmed the characters' interactions with our kids, it is priceless to have that on our home video. Also, the characters do sign the autograph books.
The whole character breakfast experience we had at Chef Mickey's was just awesome for us!

The character interaction at Chef Mickey's is the best. They also do a fun napkin twirling song that my kids liked. There is a good variety on the buffet. You can also walk over to MK in about 10 minutes when you are done.

Recently, we tried CM's for the first time. It was fun. I would go again! I also love O'Hanas and Cape May Cafe Character Breakfasts. They are fun in their own way as well!

We love Chef Mickey's. It's very, very busy though and while I wouldn't say that the food is anything to write home about, it's a must do in our book. The character interaction is great and the variety of characters is plentiful. They even do a little dance routine every half hour or so. Our kids loved it!

Chef Mickey's is a great choice for the whole family. Great characters and interaction for all. And yes, don't forget the camera.

BTW...I noticed your logon name and photo. When you go to the Magic Kingdom, don't forget to stop in the Mickey's Fire Dept. gift shop. My Dad is a firefighter and LOVES his Mickey Fire Dept. T-shirt! They have great souvenir's. Enjoy!

Chef Mickey gets our vote also! We just love going there for dinner. We have done both breakfast and dinner but we prefer the dinner. The desserts at the dinner are awsome!

We had our first Chef Mickey's breakfast this trip and I am asking myself why I didn't book it the first time! My DS(4) had a great time and lots of interaction. He even enjoyed how the characters visited 'littler kids' as he put it. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo
