Would like to know about your experience at chef de france this will be my first time there so good or not ?

i went for lunch when i was there in december and it was great! we had a late ressie (2:20) and the service was very good too. we each started off by getting a kir royale, very good. for entree, i got the croque monsiuer (grilled ham and cheese) that came with mixed greens on the side. it was great! my friend's dad got the chicken crepe, which he said was excellent as well. the acrobats were outside performing for us right outside our window too, so it was great entertainment.

overall, really liked this place and will definitely go back!

Had dinner there about 3 weeks ago. The whole night was chaotic. It could have just been an off night. Our server really gave his all to make it right, but the food was just okay, the table was cramped and we virtually sat on the laps of the people next to us. The bistro atmosphere tends to have close quarters, but there wasn't even enough room for us to go between the tables to sit down. The wine list was nice. However, the food took quite a while to come out and our server took about 20 minutes to come greet us.

I don't think we will be back for quite a while.

I had an ADR there a couple of years ago and cancelled when they took the duck off the menu (yeah, stupid I know ). Anyway I tried it for the first time for lunch this past Dec and was so impressed. Service and food were both wonderful. I came straight home and cancelled one of my ADRs for my May trip, just to I could go back to Chefs de France. That time I had dinner there and again service and food were both great. I just got back from WDW Oct 7th and took my ex with me this time. When I told him we were going to be eating French food he was not particularly thrilled. However, after eating dinner there he was very pleasantly surprised and said he'd like to go back. By the way, the duck is back on the menu and is delicious. Anyway, I've eaten there three times this year so far, and have been very pleased every time. Be sure to ask for a window table though. I can see where it would be uncomfortable and busy feeling at one of those tables out in the middle of the floor. They are a little close together.

FYI: so far we've had the onion soup, grilled ham and cheese, vanilla creme brulee, escargot, salmon, blueberry clafoutis, cheese plate, assorted French pates and charcuteries, beef tenderloin, duck, chocolate tart with bananas and coconut, and cream puffs with ice cream. All were great and again the service was outstanding.

We go to Chefs de France pretty much every time we're at WDW, so we obviously enjoy it.

Last year we treated my family to two weeks at WDW for my dad's birthday. All our meals were onsite, and Chefs was my family's clear favourite.

We always have lunch there. The lunch atmosphere is much calmer, there's always a table available, and the menu offers us a much better variety of items that we like. Have a late lunch and all you'll need for later is a light snack.

Chefs de France is one of our favorite Disney restaurants. We were there twice in January and once at the end of August.

We really enjoy it. We've had good service and excellent food. My husband loves the lobster bisque and creme brulee. I thought the pork chop I had at dinner in August was really good. Served with a mushroom demi-glace

The "French Menu" at lunch is great. French Onion soup, ham and cheese sandwich (I don't know the French name) and creme brulee for dessert - yummy!

We've eaten there twice and loved it both times. Our waiter this last time was extremely charming and knowledgeable. The food was wonderful. And I love the atmosphere.

I am so glad to hear these good reviews. I had actually tried to change our ressies in November and everything else was booked so we kept Chefs. Now I am glad we kept it.

We were there once again in August and I have decided it is my favorite. I have ADR's for 2 of 4 nights in December! Love the tuna and the profiteroiles.(sp).

We were there just in Sept. We had dined there once or twice in the past, but it's not one of our "regular" restaurants. Anyways, DH loves the 'mac 'n cheese' type dish on the menu. DS did okay there, and I really enjoyed I believe a vegetarian lasagna type dish (honestly I don't remember). It is cramped there, extra loud, and very bustling. I enjoyed eating there and then watching the France movie (probably my all-time favorite WDW attraction). All in all, it was good 'atmosphere.' Our waiter was very nice and worked hard. My complaint was the poor service and attitude from the host outside the building. Then again, with her attitude, I felt like I was in Paris.

Wow I am glad to hear of good reviews . We went there 3 years ago with my whole family. We got terrible service and the food was kind of bland. We were paying OOP. I don't know if that had anything to do with the bad service

We had dinner that just over a month ago and enjoyed it very much! While it is not very spicy or overly flavorful, it was very good! I ordered the Chef's menu and it was delish! It's perfect for the plain eater that doesn't want to take risks.

The food is OK (DH has had steak there several times, and it's just OK; I've had mac and cheese there 3 times and it ws pretty good, lasagne once and it was OK) but the atmosphere is OUTSTANDING! It's a beautiful place to sit and people-watch. I love the color scheme of mustard, deep green, and other earth tones, the dozens of windows, and the swirly tile floors. Have a wonderful time!

We did lunch there in 2005 and we really liked it. The one to-die-for thing we had was the bacon, onion, and creme fraiche tart. WOW, was it good! I had fish of some kind in a lemon butter and caper sauce with tomatoes (quite good) and a strawberry sort of napoleon for dessert (pretty, pretty good!). SO ordered the aforementioned French menu, with the French onion soup (raved about it), the croque monsieur (raved about that one, too), the salad (you know, just a decent, non-spectacular salad), and creme brulee (liked it). But then SO got a second dessert (a chocolate napoleon) as a result of it being his birthday, and got sung to by the French waiters. Was he happy? Oh, no! We're going to be eating there again when we go down next May, and are very much looking forward to it.

Oh, and I forgot, SO also got the Kir Royale ("the national drink of France", according to our waiter), which is a blend of champagne and black currant juice served in a champagne flute. SO thought it was so-so and didn't finish it. I thought the same. But we're not wine drinkers, so YMMV. HTH!

We ate a late lunch (2:30) there a couple of Sundays ago. The restaurant was not crowded at all and we were seated within a couple minutes of checking in. We were seated in the solarium and had a nice window seat. This area felt like it was warmer than the rest of restaurant. It worked for me since I don't like it too cool but I thought I should mention it since it warmed up once our soups arrived. The waiter was pleasant and attentive and helped to explain several items on the menu. I ordered the French Menu - French onion soup, croque monsieur with salad and a creme brulee for dessert. My fiance had the lobster bisque and gratin de Macaroni (more cream sauce than cheese). I found his lunch to be yummy but it was very heavy and not the greatest for a hot and humid day. This was our first time at Chefs and I was very happy with the food and service. I would definitely make an ADR for our next trip!

Excellent, excellent meal there. We ate there this past June, and I had my favorite dessert in the whole world there--profiteroles. They are ice cream stuffed pasty with delicious chocolate drizzled on top.
