Which do ya'll prefer? I think DS7 & DD9 will prefer the aquarium at Coral Reef but DS7 hates the smell of seafood. Brat! LOL

I just got back & we ate at CR this time, and I wish we would have gone with Chefs. the food was ok, service was just ok, waiter was kinda a snob. And it was very loud(we went at lunch) Anyone who did not get to sit right up by the tank threw fits ( I mean loud fits)& then they let their kids go right up to the tank & bother the people who were eating by the tank. Our food was cold.

We have always had better at Chefs, the kids even asked why we didn't eat at chefs.

I prefer Chefs de France. The food there is AMAZING and our service was great...

At Coral Reef, the service was OK, and there weren't a lot of options if you don't like fish (like me...) Plus, I know my little brother was super annoyed that we didn't get to sit right up next to the aquarium, and that kinda ruined the meal for us...

On the other hand, the fishy smell at the CR was pretty minimum. And the kids menu options were about the same at CR as at Chefs. And the atmosphere at CR was pretty cool. If you DO end up going to CR, make sure your DD & DS understand they might not get to sit next to the glass!

I have actually had premium experiences at both. I even was a bit overwhelmed with some of the food options at cdf, and wasnt sure about some sauces and the way meats were prepared. I asked my server for guidance, and he led this weary american down the right path, my food was excellent and so was the service.

There is no doubt Coral Reef is Loud when it is busy. It's such a contradiction for such a tranquil, and what I think to be the most beautiful restaurant on disney property, to be so loud. BUT with its three tiered seating and level ceilings that dont accomodate for how the seating goes upwards, the nose level becomes louder naturally as the restaurant fills. I do notice, once im there, i can overlook how loud it is because it is just so darn captivating to the eye. UNLESS you have a terrible two sitting next to you, who has aspirations of being an opera singer and the parents allow it to go on and on. Otherwise, its awesome... I have visited both CDF and CR four times, with two visits to CR down front smack dab up against the tank and ya know what? the third level is the better view. You get to enjoy more of a panaoramic experience, and you can actually view more up there... it is much more quite up there as well...When you choose an up front seat, you are limited in what you see to that window only and cannnot see the beautiful sharks, rays, and sea turtles swimming beautifully toward you, or mingling in the back of the tank, as you can on the third level...Which also gives you a glimpse of all four windows of the tank...So to all of those folks waiting for a seat down front, your making what seems to be a good choice, when actually the third level is the better option...
I was also there last month.. the mahi mahi with soy/ honey and ginger glaze over pearl pasta, land and sea appetizer, (skewered shrimp over cucumber seaseame oil salad, and skewered tenderloin with a sweet/spicy chili sauce) was superb, and of course the chocolate wave was incredible. It was definitely the best food i had across property...even better than le cellier and cali grill...SO... my vote goes to CR....
