BG announced today that Cheetah Hunt will open on May 27th. Local TV had a interview with park spokesman and he said that this ride starts with a 60 mph launch from the station. The track is huge and when I looked at the layout a couple of days ago, I was awe struck how big it is. Except for the opening hill, most of the track is very close to the ground and I can just imagine what the feeling and the sensation of speed will be like. This ride is very close to the park entrance and people will probably stop and stare in amazement before entering the park.

Looks like I'll be at Busch Gardens May 27th!
Which means I'll be waking up really early again..... But it will be worth it!

Went to the opening of Sheikra, rode Sheikra that morning then we were out of the park by 10! Would have stayed longer that day, but we were set to leave to Canada around 2 that day!

I am sooooooooo disappointed!!!! I am there for two weeks, but I come home two weeks before the opening. :(

uhh im there all of april and a bit of may will miss another one again...

may 27th is the official opening.

if Cheetah Hunt is like Manta, the park had soft openings for a few hours each day for about 3 weeks before the official opening.

and it's only a 38 mph launch from the station, after a few twists and turns you then get launched to 60 mph heading to the old rhino rally water caverns.

what you can see of the layout from Sheikra looks very interesting.

I am hoping that we will catch a soft opening, we are there until the 12th May :)

Cheetah Hunt is getting even closer with Pull Through testing on the coaster. Basically they attach a rope and crane to the coaster and pull it through to make sure it runs it smoothly without hitches, and clears the obstacles like choppers and trenches.
Cheetah Run (the animal portion) still is a ways away, but I think once firm testing starts on the coaster they'll move to quickly doing the animal habitat.
