I am making my famous cheesy potatoes tommorow for a new year eve's party. I want to jazz them up a little by putting crushed potatoe chips on the top but am wondering if I need to mix them with butter first? TIA for all your help!!

Cheezy potatoes is my specialty dish (always requested) and I would NOT mix them with butter. Try some of the Pringles Smart Flavors for a cheesey jolt. I also put Miracle Whip in the cream mixture for a bit of a bite! Enjoy:goodvibes

My favorite is mixing some melted butter with crushed corn flakes. I cheat and buy the already crushed up corn flakes. One of my friends swears by using frosted flakes instead - not sure if he uses butter. I haven't tried it yet, but the sweet and savory could be a yummy combo.

Good luck and have fun at your party!

This what I use also. I did once by accident buy honey cornflakes (I didnt know they existed and the box looked the same. I was in a hurry!) They tasted even better. I just made these for Christmas and we love them!
